Utopian/Davinci Portuguese Translation Team Report - Week #6
Welcome back to my Weekly Portuguese Translation Team Report
Another week is over, and the report is here!
Unfortunately I had some time constraints this week, and couldn't review every contributions in less than one day after they were posted, and that might have caused the slower week.
But enough chit chat. Let's check how was the performance of our team this week.
The team
@phbr - Language Moderator (Brazilian Portuguese) - AP
@mrprofessor - Translator (Brazilian Portuguese) - AP
@leurop - Translator (Portugal Portuguese) - AP
@martusamak - Translator (Portugal Portuguese) - AP
What is the team working on
Both PT-PT and PT-BR advanced 2 percent this week.
@martusamak have gone missing again, so no progress on the Quasar Framework Project...
Also, if you still haven't read the original post of this project, don't waste any more time.
Translators Contributions
@mrprofessor
Only one contribution from @mrprofessor to The Curious Expedition Project:
Contribution 8 - 1196 words
@leurop
@leurop got a bit ahead of @mrprofessor this time with 2 contributions:
Contribution 8 - 1089 words
Contribution 9 - 1071 words
@martusamak
Nothing from @martusamak.
Lessons Learned
Really slow week. I have hope that @davinci.witness will increase the Portuguese team on the next recruitment window.
On other news, things are improving everyday on @utopian-io.
As I wrote last week, our Community Manager @rosatravels started a research regarding how professional translations work and what are their standards regarding quality. 2 days ago, she posted a report, looking back at what is the state of the Translation category (We have 91 active translators in 15 languages!). It is a must read if you want to know how things have evolved.
Also on that post she linked all 3 articles regarding translation quality, and is asking the community for feedback and ideas on how to create a viable process to assess quality of the contributions. If you have an idea, just send it to her.
Statistics
Thank you for your attention, and i see you all next week!
This is a perfectly cromulent report, though I wish it had more value added. The graphs are nice. I would think about ways to make these weekly posts more useful to the general reading public.
Your contribution has been evaluated according to Utopian policies and guidelines, as well as a predefined set of questions pertaining to the category.
