The vision of the IONChain is to help break the barrier of communication between different type of devices and allow them to work together by using a universal standard. This is possible via the inherently decentralized architecture of the blockchain which itself is ideal for edge computing applications.
History
In 1887, the famous Swedish physicist Arrhenius proposed the speculation of ionization. He communicated that basically like particles and atoms, particles are in like manner the principal particles of the issue. Much the equivalent as particles in material science, IONChain plans to twist up the central atom in the Internet of Things (IoT) organic framework. Through their IONChain Protocol, IONChain will fill in as the association between IoT contraptions, supporting decentralized shared application relationship between devices.

By separating storage and transaction the data block size/transaction speed contradiction can be overcome.

IONC tokens can be used over IOT in so many ways:
- To reward mining
- compensation for smart contract computation and DAPP deployment
- rewards for connecting other ION nodes
- Transaction fee settlement
The IONChain Ecosystem
The device refers to the IoT device being used in the network. Code refers to the unique identification code this device will receive that will stamp the data created by the device. One coin refers to the coin used in the IONChain ecosystem namely IONC. With the use of smart contracts and dAPPS users will be able to create digital agreements on data transactions and data ownership. By storing and distributing this data in a decentralized manner, the IoT device owners can decide exactly which devices they want to interact with and which data they want to distribute to which party.
