Translation report: The Curious Expedition

PROJECT DETAILS
The Curious Expedition is an adventure simulator, where you can simulate being a nineteenth-century avenger, and explore many unexplored places. This game with a simple graphic ensures fun and allows you to live in a funny fantasy world. The game allows the character to live a multitude of adventures exploring this fantastic world in search of treasures and more. Thanks to my role as a translator I have the great and fun opportunity to translate some dialogues of the game and many other details that will be part of it.

- Translation Overview:
This is my first post for the The Curious Expedition project; I call it a project because in fact it is, but specifically we are talking about an electronic game, in which as a translator I have the task of translating the dialogues and more.
It is a really fascinating project and it is really interesting to see, without being a computer specialist, what there is behind the scenes of these works and their boundless amount of data. The motivations that drive me to translate are always the same as my previous work and the belief in the concept of open source. In these thousand words I found numerous terms related to the characters of the game and numerous phrases that will appear on the player's screen. Here below you can find a small excerpt of the project:
An ancient ruin towered above us. [It was in terrible condition, as the weather had been beating down on it for centuries|It looked as old as time itself|Time had taken its toll on the structure|Time had eroded what once had been a majestic sight]. [One would have to climb up the face to reach the entrance|What remained of a narrow staircase led to the only entrance|I could make out an entrance on an upper platform. We would have to climb up the exterior walls in order to reach it].
