How to integrate Wikiversity, @Utopian.io and @Steemiteducation.

Wikiversity.org is a huge opensource project to provide free education contents in all fields, at all level, in all langages.
http://www.wikiversity.org/
There are 24,000 learning ressources in English, 12,000 in French and many more in other languages.

I would like that the educators posting content in Wikiversity benefit from utopian.io functions.

@steemiteducation is a project on Steemit to produce new educational content.
Dozens of new lessons have been published on Steemit for @steemiteducation and many educators are participating.
@steemiteducation is not scalable, you cannot publish thousnds of lessons and homework if it is not sorted from one way or another.

@steemiteducation should benefit from the ranking work which has been made by Wikiversity.

So to integrate the three projects and drain thousands of educators to Utopian.io I suggest the following steps :

  • Educator publish their lessons through utopian.io with the steemiteducation tag
At the moment, the selected Github can be the utopian.io one because this is increasing utopian.io visibility.

I also have create a new Github for this purpose :
https://github.com/Chrisaiki/Wikiuto/tree/master
But it is empty today.

  • They will then paste/copy there post in Wikiversity

  • I suggest that the first course we build is to explain how to use Utopian.io to get paid to publish opensource content on Wikiversity.

I’d like to know your opinion.
Thank’s

Hi @chrisaiki this does make a lot of sense. We would also like to know more about this.

I understand that this post requires more explanations, I am working on a "how to "use utopian.io
But it is evolving quite fast, at the moment. The best is to read @utopian-io blog

I am thinking about this as well. Implementation of this very rough idea will probably take place throughout many posts and some experimentation. This lines up really nicely with some projects that I and my team are working on and we are talking it through today. I am also hoping other people from utopian.io comment here and help us visualize a clear path forward.

This is an awesome idea, but Im not fond of using utopian as the repository.

You have made one for this purpose - lets use that. But 'payment' as such shouldn't be made until the articles are added to wikiuniversity. So there needs to be a new type of article on utopian.io, and the format should explain which repository and a checklist of 'proofs' that should have been completed.

The problem is that you cannot post on wikiversity first, because cheetah will not be happy, so you have to post to utopian, then you can edit your post with the link to the wikiversity course and utopian moderator can validate your post after the update.

Cheerah is an upvote bot, he can learn too. But I see your point.

So the change you are actually propsing to the utopian.io repository is a 'wikiuni -steemiteducation' article type (along with feature request, bug test, visability, etc). Is this right?

That article type would have its own rules - rules we can continue to polish and clarify.

What I am proposing is to use this github https://github.com/Chrisaiki/Wikiuto to post educational content, first on utopian.io, then on wikiversity.
I didn't think about which rules should be followed, yet.

Of course I'll be glad knowing more about this. I'm always thinking that a lot of information is lost in the huge constant flow. Besides, everything only matters for less than one week. I'll be glad knowing more about utopian.io and wikiversity!! Greetings and all the best for the projects!!

The best place to start are http://wikiversity.org and @utopian-io account. If you have specific question, I can help you.

I was checking utopian.io, I undertand that is for posting about utopian.io projects, is that right? I'm going to check wikiversity too, I understad that you can publish in spanish there, yes? Thank you very much for your attention, and again, my best regards!! :)

On utopian you can post for any opensource project, so you can post a course in spanish for wikiversity on utopian, but you need few sentences in english to introduce your post, because the moderator may not understand spanish.
When you post on utopian, you have to select a github, which is a welknown repository for opensource project. I am discussing on discord with the utopian group to know which github you will select to publish educational content.

That's perfect, I'd be glad publishing theater articles, but I'm not ready to publish in english yet!! :)

Some days ago we had this conversation for which I'm grateful, so far has given some fruits!
Thank you very much and all the best for your projects!!

When we help each others, the world is a better place. Welcome to the world of open source !

You are absolutely right!! Thank you very much!! :)

I'd love to be a part of this, is there any way I can contact you for further guidance....

This is the right place to ask specific question.

Okay ... Thanks....

Hi there, is this project still active?

It should be closed, I don't know why it is still open.
