Weekly overview of the development category - Week 9, 2019

This is a weekly, semi-automated post where I will show some statistics and graphs of the development category. It will also serve as a showcase for the staff picks and task requests that were made in the current week. If you have any suggestions or things you'd like to see in this post, then please let me know!

KURE Development Update 6 - View Content and Communities, Request to Join Communities, and Approve/Deny Requests by @krnel

KURE provides a network hub for people to create their own communities for evaluating content to curate. Previously, joining a community was only possible through someone adding a user manually. With this update, a user can request to join a community, and then the staff of that community can either approve or deny that request. Other improvements, such as the ability to see the current number of users and requests to join of a community, as well as updating the data when you add, delete, approve or deny users, were also imlpemented in this update.All in all this makes it a very worthy staff pick, and hopefully the site will be live soon!

• There were 20 contributions of which 19 have a chance of being rewarded, or already were rewarded.
• The average score was 72.0 with an average reward of 43.8 STU from Utopian.
• The total reward from Utopian for development contributions this week (so far) is 525.0 STU.
• There were a total of 17 unique contributors in the category. Of those 1 were new contributors in the development category (@dfroberg).

Number of contributions per weekday

As you can see, Tuesday was the day with the most activity in the development category. The rest of the week was very consistent as well, which is the first time I've really seen it like this. Of course Sunday was less busy, but that is to be expected.

Average score, reward (STU) and time before review (hours) per week

Unfortunately the average score of contributions is down from 76.0 to 72.0 this week. Despite the average score having gone down this week, the average reward is up from 39.8 STU to 43.8 - this is probably down to the fact STEEM's price itself has gone up, which is very nice. Finally, the number of hours it takes for us to get to a contribution and review it (on average) has gone down quite a bit from 15.7 hours to 12.0 hours.

Number of contributions reviewed per week

As you can see, the weekly number of reviews is up from 17 to 20! It's nice to see this number going up slightly, although I'd like to see it much higher. Hopefully with the price of STEEM going up, some people that are more focused on the rewards will start submitting contributions again as well. Unfortunately despite the number of reviews being up compared to last week, the number of reviews in the last two weeks (37) is down from the two weeks prior (48), which I honestly expected, so it's not surprising in the slightest.

With the number of reviews going up this week, it's pretty surprising to see the number of unique contributors down slightly from 18 to 17. I guess last week was pretty unique considering every contribution submitted was made by someone unique, so actually scratch that, it's not really that surprising.

As you can see, there was more than one day where we were busy reviewing everyone's contributions (Wednesday, Thursday). On Saturday and Tuesday we didn't review as many contributions as usual. I would like to see this graph be exactly the same as the contributions per day graph - that's probably the end goal!

A very simple task request where you should change the project so that it doesn't use steemjs, but something else.
