Translating the Steem Whitepaper | English-Dutch | #3
Project Details
I'm spending endless hours on the Steem Blockchain and love to explain Steem to both newbies (on and off-blockchain) and people who are already familiair with it. There are a lot of different aspects on the Steem Blockchain that are very detailed and I've noticed many people who are for example writing blogs on Steemit for months still have a lot of questions about the way reward distributions, witnesses or Steem Power work. Translating the Steem Whitepaper in my native language (Dutch) is my addition to add to a better understanding of the Steem Blockchain by more people.

Contribution
I translated five (sub-)chapters from the source language English to Dutch. The chapters I translated today covered the topics of Bandwidth Instead of Micropayment Channels, Impact of Capacity, Comparison to Fees, Account Creation, and Justifying Minimum Balances. I translated about 1100 words which were then proofread and approved by @misslasvegas after I corrected mistakes I made. The total translation of the Steem Whitepaper from English to Dutch is now 68% complete.

This first week I tried to figure out how much time translating 1000 words of sometimes quite technical text takes and how the process from translating to getting approval works. It was my first week in the @DaVinci.witness and @Utopian-io translation collaboration. The dedicated Discord channel is filled with helpful people and the interaction with @misslasvegas has been both very professional and a lot of fun. I've learned a lot both about the process as well as in-depth info of the Steem Blockchain which I often already knew but now understand with even more detail.
Next week will be about finding a schedule that works for me and really incorporate translating into my day rhythm. My aim is to work less in the evenings so maybe I'll start the day with doing my translation work.
My goal is to finish translating the Steem Whitepaper before the end of September.

This is your third contribution this week of a text of more than 1000 words and with a difficulty factor that can be called quite high, this is nothing short of amazing.
The work you deliver is consistently well translated without any mistakes in spelling or grammar and again, I only had to replace words that were aesthetically less appealing than others. Besides this you are well accustomed to the more technical terminology and this makes you a true all-rounder.
To me it is looking like you are starting to get well accustomed to the text and you are having fun while working.
Today I placed some question marks with one sentence in particular and just when we wanted to discuss it, it made sense. There seems to be a naturally good collaboration between us and I am looking forward to keep working with you this way.
