Project Details

Node.js is not a programming language but could be considered as a Java Script programming framework, although in reality the definition of framework is not entirely appropriate, as Node.js could be confused with an environment to create a particular type of applications. To be precise, Node.js is a framework /platform for running JavaScript applications
We therefore say that the most appropriate definition would be that of "platform for the execution of JavaScript applications", as we find written on the home page of the official website; in practice it is a JavaScript run-time, therefore a motor for the execution of JavaScript code.

Introduction

I'm glad that on Node.js I have the chance to start a file from scratch and working to complete its translation: in my previous project instead, there were many files partially translated by other users that had just some scatter word or sentence to render and this sometimes need more time and makes your work unpleasant and confused.
As I have already explained, the whole Italian team is working on Node.js and we are processing all the first folder (API) files, following the descending order as much as possible, to give a better translation.

Contribution Specifications

This is my 17th contribution to the translation of Node.js in Italian.
I started a new file called vm.md: I processed 2023 words to get at least 1800 clean words, corresponding to 46% of the total words for this folder.

In this session, I learned new concepts like sandbox, which is a special mode where a program can be executed in a kind of protected environment to prevent any possible damage to the system.
The whole section is focused on the 4 steps needed to use a vm.Module object: creation/parsing,linking, instantiation, and evaluation.
Each of them is carefully explained.

I found many repetitions of the word Module: I decided to translate it in Italian when it began with a lowercase letter and to keep it in English in case of the capital letter.

P.S. As my translation has not been yet reviewed (today is March 28th), I've just made a small modification to some similar strings like this:

Translation Overview

1. VM (Executing JavaScript)

Stability: 2 - Stable
The vm module provides APIs for compiling and running code within V8 Virtual Machine contexts.
JavaScript code can be compiled and run immediately or compiled, saved, and run later.
A common use case is to run the code in a sandboxed environment. The sandboxed code uses a different V8 Context, meaning that it has a different global object than the rest of the code.
One can provide the context by "contextifying" a sandbox object. The sandboxed code treats any property on the sandbox like a global variable. Any changes to global variables caused by the sandboxed code are reflected in the sandbox object.

2. module.error

If the module.status is 'errored', this property contains the exception thrown by the module during evaluation. If the status is anything else, accessing this property will result in a thrown exception.
The value undefined cannot be used for cases where there is not a thrown exception due to possible ambiguity with throw undefined;.
Corresponds to the [[EvaluationError]] field of Source Text Module Records in the ECMAScript specification.

3. module.instantiate()

Instantiate the module. This must be called after linking has completed (linkingStatus is 'linked'); otherwise, it will throw an error. It may also throw an exception if one of the dependencies does not provide an export the parent module requires.
However, if this function succeeded, further calls to this function after the initial instantiation will be no-ops, to be consistent with the ECMAScript specification.
Unlike other methods operating on Module, this function completes synchronously and returns nothing.
Corresponds to the Instantiate() concrete method field of Source Text Module Records in the ECMAScript specification.
