#Indonesia - Community focus - Up-vote and Curation Analysis
Last week, the #bisteemit team lead @paulag presented figures relating to some of the poorer countries of the world and introduced STEEM and Steemit as a method to counter this poverty, with a particular focus on Indonesia.
You can read @paulag's post here: https://steemit.com/bisteemit/@paulag/steemit-good-news-story-1-attacking-global-poverty-with-steem-and-steemit
Of the 26 countries found to have some of their population living under the poverty line ($1.90 a day), Indonesia topped the list with over 19 million people. source
By raising awareness through analysis here on the STEEM Blockchain and on Steemit, we can surely do our bit to help.
This week, I will be supplimenting this great work by @paulag by providing curation figures relating to the Category and Tag 'indonesia', including:
General vote counts
The accounts giving the most votes
The 'best' curators voting in the Indonesia category and tags
All data analysed covers a 7 day period into the past from 3pm (CET) on the 28th November 2017
All data is focused on Category 'indonesia' and Tag 'indonesia'.
General Vote Counts
Over the past 7 days, there has been a total of 134780 votes across a total of 9242 posts and comments containing Category 'Indonesia', or Tag 'Indonesia'.
There were 3374 top level posts and 5868 comments that recieved at least one vote at an average of 14.6 votes per post and comment.
Top Voters
A total of 26051 different user accounts cast at least 1 vote in the past 7 days.
Over 150 user accounts cast at least 100 votes and 20 of these accounts voted over 500 times, great!
These are the top 20 voters this past week:
Congratulations and thank you go to @good-karma AND his @esteemapp account for providing a total of 2735 votes in 7 days! Fantastic support to the community.
Top curators by rewards
This part of the report is based on a weekly Blog that I produced for 8 weeks during September and October. If you would like to read an in-depth introduction, this is my latest post (16 days old so do not vote) on my personal Curation League.
In brief, EVERY user, big or small has a chance of topping this chart. It does not matter if you have 500,000 Steem Power, or 50 Steem Power.
The method of approach is to make a calculation based on the amount of Steem Power you own, and your Curation Rewards for the previous 7 days.
Curation Rewards DIVIDED BY Steem Power MULTIPLIED BY 100
Before I present the top curators reported, this is the criteria needed to be fulfilled to have a chance of appearing on the list:
Must have voted at least once on a piece of content in the Category/Tag 'indonesia'
Must have created at least one piece of content in the Category/Tag 'indonesia'
Must not have leased or delegated Steem Power in the last 15 days
Must not have Started a Power Down (Withdrawl of Steem Power) in the last 15 days
Point 1 and 2 should be clear, you need to be supporting 'indonesia'. Points 3 and 4 are required to reduce distortion of the figures, and as curation rewards for the past week are actually taken from votes made up to 14 days ago, we need a 15 day window as mentioned in these points.
The Top 30 Curators in the Indonesian community
Congratulations to @auliausu with a monumental score of 1.16! This by far the highest score reported at any time during the 8 weeks I ran my competition.
Both @vanessaayumi and @endracsho also achieved figures way higher than the average for my league, which actually never saw more than 0.2. Well done both!
I'm super happy to see that all 3 owned by users living in Indonesia. After the time taken to prepare this report, this has made day!
Excellent!
Summary
My personal feelings are that we need more eyes and more support in this Category and Tag area - what could mean a little to some, could mean much more to others.
The top 20 most frequent voters are providing over 15% of all the votes to the Indonesian community.
Users in this community should encourage comments (and votes) by asking questions in their Blogs, and by responding to every 'worthwhile' response.
Why not start by asking the top members of the Curation table how they did it, and by up-voting their response?
Tools used to gather this data and compile the report
The data is sourced from SteemSQL - A publicly available SQL database with all the blockchain data held within (Data is normally 1/2 hours delayed from live)
The SQL queries to extra to the data have been produced in both SQL Server Personal Edition and LINQPAD 5.
The charts used to present the data were produced using MS Excel.
I am part of a Steemit Business Intelligence community. We all post under the tag #bisteemit. If you have analysis you would like to be carried out on utopian-io/Steem data, please do contact me or any of the #bisteemit team and we will do our best to help you.
Thanks for your time today

hi @abh12345 I have give you 100% vote on this post. It was a very difficult challenge to gather and present this data. I hope people reading will note that hours upon hours of work went into this.
Congratulations to @auliausu on his awesome curation work and to the top voters in this region. Its a region i will be doing extra work to support.
Catch ya later on discord, again well done on this post and I hope that it gets the payout it deserves
Thank you very much @paulag
This was an unexpected day long task, looking at new data tables in @arcange's SteemSQL DB.
I expect some to look into just how these outstanding curation results were achieved - not presented in the post to avoid going too far off topic.
Thanks again for the idea, it is now time for some wine!
:-)
Thank you for the contribution. It has been approved.

voter and their profile
No the Voters can be from anywhere.
The criteria is stricter on the Curation table.
Thanks for your interest :)
Oww really informative
Thank you :)
Are you sure steeminator3000 from Indonesia?
Go and check!
I know he is not, but I didn't say that he was?
Actually @arcange said to me "It's not easy to identify people's location because this information is not in the blockchain."
So, I think your data mostly just explain who is the most got curation rewards from post using #indonesia. Right?
Yes :) that's why I am happy that the top 2 state where where they live in their profile.
I agree with you sir! @abh12345
