This is a Yucca palm tree.
And here a smaller one.
Here's a cluster of the Yucca palm tree
We have Yucca trees in Singapore, but they are scattered all over the island, and you don’t see a lot of them. I didn’t even know they are called Yucca palm trees, nor did I pay any attention to them. They were just one of those nameless trees that dote the island.
Whilst in Spain, I saw the same type of plant. There were quite a few of them around where I stayed. And they bloomed too. I was pleasantly surprised. I was even more amazed when all the three plants in the little patch of ground all bloomed, as well as all the Yucca trees in the area. It would seem that it was the season for the Yucca trees to bloom. It was awesome!
Here's another cluster. Look at how they bloomed.
More information of the Yucca Tree
It took me travelling half way across the globe to become aware of the existence of a tree that is growing in my homeland. I guess that’s what travelling does for you.
