Yearning kicks in the thirst and fills your innermost being,

The longing keeps on roaring and pushing you through inside,

When you thought life is cruel, tough, harsh and challenging,

Somewhere deep down, drops of anger and pain start rising.

You always wonder why your life is in dismay,

Why you often find yourself suffering in a foreign land,

But only silence follow and that makes you gloomy,

Its wind blows and brings you to the unknown island.

Aninag mo ang kirot at sakit ng iyong pag-alis,

Hundred times you wished you did not parted from your family,

But you well knew that there`s nothing you can do but to go,

Aches of uncertainties made your tears shine eternally,

Your weep and cries at night caused you to feel blue.

Walang pahinga, hirap at gutom ay iyong nararanasan,

The feeling of exhausted, restless and hunger haunt,

Yet, you keep running harder though the hope daunts,

Another day began to chant a monotonous rhyme,

And had no choice but to work harder and conquer the time.

Araw -gabi ika`y nasisinghalan ng walang humpay,

Being treated unfairly and trampled on by your masters,

Reckon pity to your position and create disasters,

Your hatred cultivate another hatreds and grudges,

But despite all of these, you still stand as the king of patience.

Katawang nanghihina`t pagal ay ihihiga kahit saan,

You used to lay down anywhere after a long day,

Somnolence breaks and shakes even in the icy morning,

Nevertheless, you keep on sailing in the cold sea,

Until the day you come back home with fervor burning.

Ika`y hindi humihinto at tuloy pa ring nangangarap,

Within the sky and through the clouds, you become unstoppable,

You grow fearless; you bravely walk at the edge of tomorrow,

The spark of your eyes lit your family`s happiness,

To your country, you are a hero and all your tenderness.

Bukas ay iyong paghandaan ng walang alalahanin,

The fast approaching of the future from a distance,

Stays at your glance and the cradle of change calmly cope,

But it is a glory ever to see the shining stars in advance.

And witness the sun returning beneath the wings of hope.
