Steemit > bitLanders - Amazing Adjustments That Have Happened To My Life Since I Found Steemit

Two months ago, I was invited by co-bitLanders users @long888 and @g10a, I have to head to their constant invitation because they showed me how they were "addicted" to it.

Steemit is ADDICTING!

I know addicted is not quite a positive term but I am using it instead because that was how they displayed their affection to the said platform. Note that all three of us were with bitLanders that time.

bitLanders is another online paying site, it used to pay in bitcoins, believe me when I say I earned more than 2 Bitcoins before when it was valued at Php 16,000. It was still a small amount at that time (4-5 years ago) and that it felt really tempting to cash it out so I did (say hi to regrets).

That site which has been very loyal in paying their members is still up until now. I am still with it and I never thought my perspective with it will change but when I learned about steemit and experienced it personally, I had a change of heart.

A Change of Heart | Steemit > bitLanders

If I could share one major adjustment, that would be spending more time with steemit than bitLanders.

steemit is greater than bitLanders

A huge chunk of my day has been laid towards steemit. In fact, those hours were originally intended for bitLanders. The time spent writing thousands of words for bitLanders had been changed with a huge portion of steemit instead.

Steemit is a game changer indeed!

It has changed me in so many different ways. Let me share some:

1. Blogging at Different Times of the Day

Before, I would just write if I wanted to. I would somehow wait for an idea to come to mind. But with Steemit, I have made it a point to post at least once per day but I am also urging myself to have a conscious effort to post more than one blog a day. Lately, I have been posting 2-3 times a day which I believe is good.

I am aiming to post more quality blogs on a daily basis. But I am already grateful that the environment is giving ideas on what to blog and post. Such as photography contests, blogging topics and even videos with d.tube.

2. Becoming More Grateful

Learning about @paradise-found's #Gratefulvibes challenge, I had also learned to appreciate even more the positive things that life has given to me and my surrounding.

Whenever I get to read on the other entries, it encourages me and uplifts me at the same time because I can definitely relate to their situations too. Indeed, every one of us is connected and that we have certain experiences which we can relate to each other.

Being grateful is contagious and realizing that we are all blessed to be here in steemit is a fact that we can be grateful about.

3. Rekindling love for Art

I am a huge fan of journaling, calligraphy, and lettering. I have numerous collections of notebooks, journals and planners at home which I intended to use for this hobby. However, over the past few months, I had never found time again to make an entry on my notebooks.

With Steemit, I somehow found the passion again to create these again because as well of the inspiring posts from co-steemians who are enthusiasts as well of the same art.

4. Involving Myself with Old and New People

From reconnecting old friends to meeting new ones, I am definitely happy to be learning a lot from friends who have been on this site way before me.

I am as well enjoying the company of new friends such as the Cebu based ones. I have joined meetups and humanitarian activities such as:

Meeting these lovely souls had given me the encouragement to be open to others and share my time in learning about their lives and vice versa.

Two days from now, the Cebu Steemians will have its 6th meetup again and I am joining of course! I have a friend who is very eager to learn about the site too whom I'll be bringing with me.

Not much surprises maybe, still the same old bitlanders. Oh but there are other features that disappeared.

That's a great story and I almost joined bitlanders before but was persuaded to join Steemit instead and I have never regretted it!
