We must not let go of the good customs and teachings that our grandmothers left us. And who does not remember the beautiful prayer of the Guardian Angel? That beautiful prayer accompanies us since we were children. I remember that every night next to my bed, I would put my hands together and fondly pray:

Today I'm going to make this beautiful Cover for a baby that will soon be born and is named Fabiรกn Santiago. The technique I'm going to use is cross stitch embroidery.
The combination of colors is very important, so you have to dedicate a moment to that theme, so that everything is harmonious and perfect.
๐ผThe materials to be used are: ๐
- Special Etami fabric for embroidery.
- white fabric a thousand stripes or poplin.
- Colored fabric to combine.
- Sedalinas of various colors.
- Needle # 22 special to embroider.
๐ผPattern that I used. ๐
It is very important when carrying out the project, to count each box well, if possible up to 2 or 3 times and place it on the canvas, so that it is perfect in the place where you want it.
๐ผStep by Step.
When I have counted the squares, both the drawing of the angel, and the name and letters of the sentence, I proceed to cut the fabric of stamina, leaving 2 cm on each side and then pass the seam there; in my case the 13x27 court
The 2 pieces of white fabric, which go to the upper and lower sides of the stamina, measure 8x27.
I cut two 18x26 squares in blue cloth. With the help of the iron, divide it in half so that it is 9x26.
For this white cloth box, which goes on the back of the cover I cut a 26x27 box
Embroidery process ๐ฆ
To make the angel embroidery, I first made a border in a darker blue tone, then fill it with a softer tone, just as it says in the pattern. The combination of hair and letters is to your liking.
Sewing process ๐ฆ
To sew the fabrics that go to the sides, we face the right fabrics with right and secure with pins, so that it does not move and we pass sewing, first a straight line and then we zigzag so that the fabric does not fray.
We put the blue fabric as shown in the photo, and we passed the seam straight and zigzag; we do the same with the white cloth that goes from the back side.
To finish, I faced right with both pieces of the cover and passed sewing, leaving the opening where the baby's pillow will enter. I turn and adjust the corners; step the iron and finally adorned with a bow.
The embroidery is very relaxing ๐ฆ
When the birth of a baby approaches, all mothers focus on having the best for our children, it is a moment of our lives that everything seems more tender, sweeter.
For pregnant women they love to embroider their babies' things, make their trousseau, and many of them start weaving. Personalizing baby things is a tradition that comes from the time of the grandmother.
