Late night "I Wish" Thoughts
It is late at night, and I am going to call it quits. At least for today.
I WISH Steemit actually worked. I WISH I didn't have to sit and refresh the page, only to be told that I am supposedly no longer logged in.
Sure, I can go use "some other front end," but I WISH I didn't I didn't still have to use a workaround.
I WISH someone would pay attention to @steemchiller and his SteemWorld.org project. Here's a guy who has developed an awesome and totally USABLE app thousands of Steemians use every day... and yet he receives nothing-zip-nada from the "powers that be."
Please take a moment to go throw an upvote his way, so he can pay his freakin' RENT, will ya?
I WISH people were a little less oblivious to their surroundings. This afternoon I was driving home from work, and some douchecanoe just tossed a soft drink cup (probably from McDonalds) out the window of their car.
Makes me wonder if they do that at home in their yard, too? Probably not. I WISH people would just develop a modicum of mindfulness.
I WISH there were fewer mindless government "make work" fees in life. Like the form I had to file today, to pay an additional $40 for my business licence with our local municipality. They hiked the annual fee from $35 to $75. Seriously? Have you LOOKED at the inflation rate, lately? Way to NOT be "Business Friendly" in a city that depends on it's local businesses to drive tourist revenues...
Of course, the old saying goes "If wishes were fishes," so I should probably just shut up.

Thank you @denmarkguy for this post. That sucks about that knucklehead and littering like that. Those people do NOT belong in our society....imho !!
Anyway, if it's any consolation I just reached Dolphin Status a few minutes ago. And I am giving those people who believed in me since the beginning like you and @getonthetrain with a full one tonight :)
Again thank you for your contribution to this platform and you have been a true Steemian role model for many of us ( including me) to Follow here at Steemit ;)

Thank you for the kind words and support... news like this gives me a little glimmer of hope that the vision of a "gift economy" on Steemit based around the pay it forward principle is still a possibility!
Oh, my Sweet Lord, isn't that the truth!!! Today has been awful. I'm so tired of stuff that doesn't work on Steemit!!

In spite of the fact that I have been solidly logged into Steemit for about 48 hours. Sometimes this whole goat and monkey show gets a little depression... and I find myself wondering if I'm actually coloring myself the fool still believing that "those who keep going when things are looking bad will be the ones to reap a rich harvest when things are good."
I checked, and @steemchiller gets triple digits.
Since he started putting appeals into his app, he's getting a little more recognition.
I was more referring to the general tendency of STINC happily delegating large amounts to people with some conceptual SMT that amounts to little more than vaporware, compared to someone with a working, user-friendly, 100% uptime app getting nonesuch.
Evidently the "issue" is that he didn't build SteemWorld open source...
Yes yes and yes lol. FYI even Busy was having issues now and then yesterday.
People are basically worse than pigs in many respects.
The only thing government is good at is taking money!
You know, I watch myself and ponder how I point out things as being "wrong" and then consider the distinct possibility that I am on a path to become one of those "grumpy old men" who sit on their front porch yelling "GET OFF MY LAWN!" at every kid that passes by...!
But does the government even MAKE money, or do they just WASTE it?
