Connundrum in the West Midlands

On 2nd May, voters in the West Midlands will be will be electing their metro mayor.

We've had two completely contradictory opinion polls on this.

Redfield and Wilton Strategies has the following poll:

West Midlands Mayoral Election VI (10-14 April):

Richard Parker (Lab) 42%
Andy Street (Cons) 28%
Elaine Williams (Ref) 13%
Siobhan Harper-Nunes (Green) 7%
Sunny Virk (Lib Dem) 7%
Other 2%

Parker (LAB): 38% (-2)
Williams (RFM): 7% (+5)
Virk (LDM): 6% (+2)
Harper-Nunes (GRN): 5% (-1)

So one had the Conservatives ahead by 2 points. The other had Labour ahead by 14 points.

That's a vast difference. We shall find out who is right in two weeks.
