Taking our Kids Out of the Country for the First Time
We have boy/girl twins who are almost years old. We are pretty adventurous with them, but have never taken them out of the county (USA). We have been to Florida, and California many times with them and they love traveling. This last year we decided to get them passports just in case we wanted to go someone even more exciting.
We booked a trip to Turks and Caicos a couple of months ago and decided to bring them along. My wife and I have been to TCI two times and thought it would be a great place for the kids.
-The islands are not busy
-The islands are very safe
-The islands have a ton of food choices and a great grocery store.
- The flight is bearable from Colorado (2 three hour flights).
Not to mention the beaches and water is amazing here!
So far the kids love it here. My daughter loves the pool and my son loves the beach. Yesterday we walked a couple miles on the beach and they made it the entire way without too much complaining. We brought snorkel gear and plan to show them some of the amazing sea life here that is just off shore. Bite reef is one of our favorite spots. It is literally ten feet off the beach, has rays, turtles, tons of fish and corals. We also want to take a boat trip to iguana island for my son who loves lizards.
So much to do here, but I love just relaxing on the beach or in the water the most.
