First Day at the Meta Expo! - Such a Rush!steemCreated with Sketch.

Today was a blur...

I went to set up my booth last night so that I'd be ready to go in the morning. So glad that I did that because I slept in later than I intended to this morning. I hosted a big convocation party last night that went pretty late because none of us wanted the good vibes to end. Nonetheless, I was able to make it to the show on time, looking professional and with my booth already set up, all I had to do was get there.

I was lucky to have a couple great helpers with me today as well that kept me pumped up when things were slow to start and then also keep my grounded when the craze hit. And the craze DID hit. It was good that the morning was a little bit slow because it gave me a chance to feel out how it was best to describe my services and also to play around with the orientation of things in my booth. I actually ended up flipping the entire booth and shuffling some things around because of the layout of the room and the direction of the crowd flow. I resisted making those changes at first because I really liked how my booth looked originally, but at a show like this, it's not just about the looks - the booth has to function well too! And so, we made some changes and it ended up being more balanced between aesthetics and function. One big change was that I moved my vertical banner so that it was closer to the front of the booth - easier for people to read the name and figure out what I was offering. Tomorrow I might play around with where I put the little table with my business cards and brochure as well. The spot where it ended up today was kind of inside the booth and not easily accessible to someone walking by.

Regardless of my learning curve with booth setup and descriptions of my services, I made a TON of connections, did a TON of demos and barely had a chance to catch my breath. This first day totally exceeded my expectations (maybe because I just went in with an intention to learn and not with any actual expectations! haha). I'm definitely tired tonight, and needing to recharge, but looking forward to another day at this show!

Stay tuned ;)

Congratulations on the first day! Sounds like it was filled with gratitude and compassion for yourself and those who would benefit from your services! Keep trusting your timing and enjoy every moment of your journey!

Was your audience filled with more people familiar with sound therapy or were you reaching some new audiences?

Thanks @thedreamsteem!! Yes, it was an incredible experience. It was especially awesome to be doing demos while I was there and having people feeling the effects and benefits immediately from that short session. I am so filled with gratitude and excitement about all the people I will be able to help going forward with this practice.

Thank you for the reminder to trust my timing. That's always the biggest challenge, but I'm getting better at it! :D

Most were unfamiliar with sound therapy, so I was definitely introducing some new concepts a lot of the time. It seemed to be very well received though, and my demo time slots at the show booked up very quickly. :D
