Post Trump GOP.

in #trump6 years ago

Aside from declaring al-Quds the capital of Palestine, are there any transgressions against Republican orthodoxy Trump has yet to commit now that he very publicly laid down and licked the boots of a Russian totalitarian while condemning his own country by comparison?

I still think that's the most shocking thing about this administration. Not Trump's temper tantrums, his irrational flailings, his utter ignorance about the most basic facts of history, logic, and nature, but the way in which the GOP immediately rolled over for him in every conceivable way without so much as a word of protest.

Remember when Republicans thought tariffs were bad? When they used to say things against the government picking winners and losers? When they thought the Germans and British were our allies? When they thought thugs like Kim Jong-Un and Putin were to be regarded with skepticism and kept in check, or at the very least not openly fawned over? Remember when George H. W. Bush and Ronald Reagan feuded over who was more pro-immigrant?

What's going to happen the next time one of these people opens their mouths to complain about the Democrats being inconsistent or hypocritical or ignorant? What is going to remain of the GOP when Trump is gone and they have to explain themselves to future generations of Americans?

Surely nothing. Hopefully nothing.

Most times ..people say things because they are not in the system and they know little about how it runs , operate and it's nature . It's a good thing that trump is the system he now knows better than pointing fingers . We are in the same situation in my country
