Kappa Temple and beautiful shrine with lots of moss
Hello steemians!
I am RYO!
I visited the temple and the shrine!
Why did I visit this temple? Because this temple gives a good idea for my manga -Jingi-!
The under right of the photo is why I visited here↓
Who is he?
He is…Kappa!!
If you are reading -Jingi-, you know about kappa!
This temple is a rare temple with a kappa statue😃
The first kappa I drew is scary🤣
Actually, there are many kappa legends in this town, and there are statues of kappa in various places other than temples.
There are many other kappa statues near parks and rivers, but rarely placed in temples.
The temple looks normal regardless of the kappa

Unfortunately I didn't know much about the deep history of kappa at this temple but I enjoyed trip😊
Next shrine
This shrine is in a very deep mountain
The ground is dyed green with moss.

It’s a sign of God ’s realm↓
Place to purify hands and mouth↓
It’s a place to dance for God↓
Ground all moss
This is the place where God lives↓
Many Japanese gods live in simple places rather than luxury places
Because God exists in nature, so they don't like "gorgeous"
I like the sight of shrines fused with nature😊
There was a lot of moss near the shrine tree
Oh mushroom!
The river near the shrine was beautiful with reflections of light😊
I've visited this shrine many times, so I might post it again!

What I really like are the small shrines that you can find everywhere. Just open google maps, zoom in and choose one. They often have really funny shapes (ground) and with street view you can have a good look.

Yeah me too! There are about 80,000 shrines in Japan ... many of them are small shrines.
The small shrines are called "Uji-gami" and they are the gods that protect the that place.
Shrines and temples have different roles, but both are wonderful😃
