Sigil for Phil & Jill's Move to Cortez, CO, Part 3
I cut the piece of wood for this piece with my jigsaw, - a piece of wood I found on the street in alley near my house, and of course, the edge is not straight. Oh Well.
I will have to "make it work" with the art.
I decided to try to create a border that I can have the encaustic flow to and from, so I used Marti Gras Beads, and I used a carving tool to cut a channel for them to rest in so hopefully the glue will hold. I am using Guerilla Wood Glue for this part.
I used modpodge to attach the drawing to the wood, instead of encaustic this time, It's looking a lot more Barbie than I had hoped it would. I was hoping for much more of a Native American theme... I might have to change the whole thing somehow for that, but it's not dry, so I will have to wait till next time.

This is coming along quite nicely, Joanna,.... I like the border that you added with the purple beads :) I like also that you put to use things that are discarded by others. I think it's fine that the edge isn't straight, somehow you will make it work, I'm sure :)
thanks @veryspider .... yes it will probably all come together as it always does -- it just looks NOTHING like what I thought it would look like in my mind - and it is a little shocking how it looks so MOD instead of rustic as I had planned for her particularily. Oh well. I am curious to see how it turns out. I never know....
