I wanted a bit of a different take this week and got this shot looking up one of the tall apartment buildings, I wont say the name of the building, the reason being I don't want the owners name to spin comments off to a political tangent, so I request if you know who I am talking of resist commenting about him but focus instead on the tree and view in this shot.

And a second tree shot on one of the streets in Manhattan, this one hasn't fully grasped onto the concept of spring yet and is still pretty bare,

Well, you might have known I'd be contrary. I like the second shot better. Something about that poor scrawny, misshapen tree barely coming to life again ... set against what basically looks like a tenement -- dingy, cramped, utilitarian and charmless. No style. No grace. No sense of anything except warehousing humans. The whole photo is a picture of anxiety and struggle ... and barely contained despair. The lives of the people inside that building just trying to make it. And the tree -- trying the same. I just want to hug it for making such a valiant attempt.
Love the angel of that shot with the blue skies great imagination :)
Thanks kindly
I always find myself looking up in the city for views like this
Wow! Like damn you had me just staring at that first picture. What a magnificent freaking shot, wow. Seriously, speechless. I love how you see the world.
As you have probably noticed I love looking up in the city and this shot jumped out at me tonight to edit for Tree Tuesday :)
thanks tip!

I love the juxtaposition of the hard, sharp building in contrast to the soft, wispiness of the clouds and the leaves of the tree. It says a lot about the human condition in relation to nature.
I knew i like this view and photo but you words really sum up so well why this caught my eyes thanks mate
Wooooaaww... Like I'm practically screaming in my mind
I love the cloud photo..... 😍😍😍😍😍😍

The first shot is amazing, it has a POV feel to it.
Thanks its one of my favorite recent shots :)
Wow! Wow! The first one is uber awesome JJ! I love the affair you and your camera are having. The building is spectacular, but you really turned the volume up on this one!!
TipThanks kindly :) this is one of my favorite shots of recent :)
Why is it that trees tend to mimic the "mood and look" of the buildings that surround them?
Thanks for the nice images.
Namaste, JaiChai
That is interesting in big cities they sure do seem to mimic
