TreeTuesday - The Mango Mushroom Tree !!
Thailand lately has been experiencing more rain then usual during this year's monsoon period so all sorts of plants and vegetarian are tending to pop up in unexpected places because of so much dampness around some areas.
I was at a friends farm last weekend in the south of Thailand where they were having bucket loads of rain and she took me out in the back of there farm to show me this huge mango tree i know i have seen many mango trees in Thailand but wait for it......
Yep this was no ordinary mango tree it had migrated a family of mushrooms onto it's trunk , truly they looked spectacular i just wanted to rip these mushrooms of the trunk and eat them fresh without cooking them that's how appealing they looked.
First time i have seen so many eatable mushrooms on a mango tree trunk well you know they weren't going to stay on that trunk long because in Thailand everyone is mushroom crazy they have so many recipes for mushrooms over here it's a deliciousness.
And where do you think these mushrooms ended up...YEP...in a frypan with some onions , shallots , some Thai basil , oyster sauce and of course chilies...ahhhhh...sensational.
