A few Saturdays ago, I went to IMM Mall in Jurong. Haven't been there for a while. They are known for their outlet stores, furniture stores, interior design companies, plumbing accessories. What was surprised was a Garden Plaza on the 3rd floor which I didn't know of before.
几个星期六前，我去了裕廊的IMM商场。好久没去了。他们有很多折扣商店，家具店，室内设计公司，水暖配件店。出乎我预料之外是三楼的花园广场，以前好像没有这。

我走进去看看，看到。。。哇塞，那里有一棵榴莲树。 当然，没有榴莲啦。
But... there are other types of trees with fruit like this one. Starfruit. Haven't eaten that for a long time.
可是。。。其他树可有果实好像这杨桃。好久没吃了。
That was from this starfruit tree.
那就是来自这杨桃树。
There was also some mangoes spotted like this one.
还有些芒果好像这个一样。
That was from one of these . One it Thai Mango and another is Mango. I have not idea what's the difference.
那是从这其中一棵。一个是泰国芒果，另一个是芒果。我可分不清。

There are pandan leaves here. These are used for making cakes and dessert among other things.
这是班兰也。用来做蛋糕，甜品和其他。
Next to the pandan leaves, it this custard apple. Never tried them before.
班兰叶隔壁是释迦。没吃过。
Banana 'tree'. As far as I know, it's officially supposed to be a herb than a tree.
香蕉树。其实有人跟我说过严格说，英文不叫树。
Woodworm. Never heard of them before but I guess it can be used for some recipe despite the strange name. I did a search and my guess was right.
艾蒿的英文名可真有点怪。上网搜了。原来，可用来烹饪。
There is a fig tree too.
也有棵无花果。
Boatlily. Seems this can be make into some drink too.
蚝花，紫背。好像是能煮水喝。
These aloe vera are bit too small for much use.
这芦荟太小了。应该还不能有什么作用。

I yet have to try the real Durian. So far I only made it as far as Durian biscuits and ice cream :) @gladysmak loves durian so I am motivated to try, but it's not the season in Thailand now, so they not really soft enough. Thanks for the share!
You're welcome. You should try but I have one piece of advice for you and other western friends who do.
When you first try, never have a Coke nearby so if you hate it and want to wash it down, drink tea or water.
Otherwise, when you sleep, you may be smelling the result of your burps. :-)
Haha that's a great advice. I think I'm safe tho since I do not drink pop, never did. Water or tea is always my choice bro! Thank you though

I got stuck on that wood worm tree if I'm trying to decide if my friend made a woodworm pie, if I would be daring enough to eat it? I'm actually thinking no. So I think I would have to rename it. That is quite an array of trees that is at that mall! Are they all planted or are they for sale? For both??
You have to be amazing amount of shopping there but that should not surprise me for the size the City. It did surprise me to see all those trees on an upper floor. I think it's beautiful I can't imagine carrying all that during upstairs to plant them! Wonderful trees beautiful photos. Did you hug a tree today?

They are not for sale for sure. No price tag anyway.
I was to to see the tree there too though I read somewhere they are starting to use to top of the malls for some green farming purpose but this is probably not the case here.
I love seeing them on top of buildings!

Yes, I need to get one. Haven't had one for a while.
They are so cheap over here in Thailand like you can get five in basket at the markets less then one dollar US :)
That's good place to enjoy cheap food in variety.
