The Chinese New Year market usually opens about 2 weeks before Chinese New Year in Chinatown but in recent years, the shopping centers have been getting into the business. The open space at Takashimaya Shopping Centre is one of the place they have this. I was there on Saturday and what a crowd there was. Lots of Chinese New Years goodies to sample and buy but you still have to fight through a crowd. Another advantage in shopping in shopping centres for these are: air-conditioning, acceptance of credit cards with some stalls giving early purchase discounts and/or credit card discounts.

农历新年市场通常在农历新年前两周开业在牛车水开，但近年，购物中心也进来分一杯羹。高岛屋购物中心的开放空间也就是其中一个地方。星期六我去那儿，人山人海。很多农历新年的糕点和其他货物在卖，但你还是要跟人群中争霸独立。在购物中心买的好处是：空调，能刷卡，一些摊位还提供早期购买折扣和/或信用卡折扣。

So, this stall is from my lady's favorite place and we are buying pineapple tarts among other things. Here you get to try the stuff and place your order. Then, bring the order form to the cashier and pay. After that bring back the form and the receipt and get your stuff. Time to exercise my muscle.
