Travel Blog 36: Cheers At A Chemistry Laboratory?
If you have been following for quite a while now, you should have known that I traveled to Vietnam for a beach vacation not too long ago. If you would like to catch up a little about my trip, check this article where I introduced the most enchanted hotel in the world. This unique themed hotel in Phu Quoc is stunningly beautiful.
To my surprise, the resort that I was staying offered more than I could imagine. The extremely interesting theme for the resort and the meticulous decorations throughout the resort makes me really want to go back again! While everything there is top-notch, I find that their bar impressed me the most.
Here are the reasons why:
1. Unique Theme
Never in the entire world that you'll find a bar that looks so beautiful and distinctive like this one. Department of Chemistry is a bar in JW Marriott Phu Quoc that serves drinks that are prepared in laboratory equipment like beakers and test-tubes by a professionally dressed chemist with a lab coat.
2. Impressive Art Work
I know that the resort is famous for the art pieces surrounding the entire area. I also knew that they actually purposely flew in different pieces of antiques from Europe to fully project the European essence into this resort. But what I didn't know that is they actually went extra miles to hire the professional artist to paint into this colorful artwork.
Most importantly, you can definitely observe the meticulous artworks this perfectly painted periodic table on the wall and the customized atomic lamp that represents the Chemistry theme of the bar.
3. Comfortable Setting
Well, it's pretty common that most of the bars would like to set up their tables with a certain pattern in order to accommodate as many people as possible. However, even though this bar undeniably has that approach as well, but they definitely didn't forget that providing a comfortable environment for the customer is their first priority.
Never have I went to a bar or restaurant that they actually provide such great seating where you can stretch out your leg, lean back your self back with a comfortable couch to enjoy the sunset with a drink. To my surprise that they build a sofa bed on a swing! Isn't that amazing?
Honestly, this bar is absolutely my favorite spot to go in the entire resort. The level of comfortability is seriously no kidding. I definitely can see why this is a highly populated spot for many guests in the hotel.
4. Good Deals
It's pretty common for most of the bars having a 1 on 1 promotion. But there's always a catch for these deals. It is always limited to a few choices on the menu list where sometimes you don't even get to choose your favorite cocktails for the evening. While this bar works just like all the other bars, but, the drink menu for the promotion is rather extensive. Honestly, for the quality and also the perfect settings, it is definitely a steal!
5. High-Quality Drinks
I can never complain about their drinks. Especially the cocktails are definitely on point. Often the case in a bar is that your drinks are hit and miss where there's always something that is missing or it's overpowering. However, it never happens here in this bar. All of the drinks that I had was tasted how it is suppose to be. I strongly recommend you to try out their in-house Mojito, it is definitely not too sweet with a perfect amount of liquor to mint ratio that sets the cocktail to perfection.
6. Live Band Music
Even though I doesn't have the perfect photo for the live band. But the band really did an amazing job to uplift one's spirit and enlighten the atmosphere. This is my kind of perfect bar that I could enjoy the crashing of the waves, the constant sea breeze while enjoying some really good music.
