Vienna - Part 8 - The Ferstel Passage - Part II.

This is the famous Xocolat manufacturer shop in Vienna.
It's kind of like heaven for those who like craft sweets and originality. It's a wonderful place, believe me. I didn't go in, it would have been very dangerous thing to do as I would have bought the whole store, plus I was in a hurry to the museum.
Unfortunately the website is only in German, so below I'm trying to translate some text from their website.

With more than 400 selected chocolate bars and numerous other delights made from and with fine chocolate, the headquarters of Xocolat in the passage of the Palais Ferstel in Vienna is one of the best addresses worldwide for highly aromatic chocolates and excellent confectionery. Meanwhile, nine Xocolat offices offer a wide range of selected chocolate specialties - with fine cocoa, great taste and traceable origin. An extensive assortment of tempting sweet to savory delicacies is made in the Xocolat manufactory - from premium chocolates and other fine ingredients, without artificial flavorings and preservatives. It's a franchise, they have stores opened in Baden, Bregenz, Linz and Graz. You can also look for these shops if you're around.
These chocolate bars are not only delicious but have a well designed package that will capture your attention for sure. Let's see what you can see here: aromatic caramel chocolate, black chocolate, milk chocolate, and coffee chocolate with different % of cocoa, 32%, 57% and 70%.
If you look at the price list you'll see why I didn't go in. My heart was aching, but I also knew these prices are not for my pocket and they would most like not let me take photographs of the whole shop.

As you can see the shop is well organized, with wonderful windows that are definitely invite anyone in to look around and buy something. That bag was calling my name but I knew it's not cheap.
I'm planning to go back to Vienna one day as I had a wonderful time there. It's a wonderful city with plenty to offer whatever you're interested in. People are friendly and helpful, welcoming. I'm pretty sure if I'll go back to Vienna, this will be one of the places that I'm going to visit and also buy something.

I couldn't agree with you more! This was the most delightful shop! It is so hard to get by the architecture as it is stunning and from the arches in the ceiling to the floor. I love all parts of Europe, my mouth hangs open in perpetual awe.
You have outdone yourself in setting up your shots and photographing them, Erika! Everything about it is beautiful! Vienna is one of the loveliest cities to visit, and the Chocolatier is in the very wealthy district of Hietzing. I will admit to having a tiny nibble of one. Don't do it. The only thing it did was make me want more!
The displays are alluring, the smell, I think I can smell it from here! The truffles are delectable. How could you resist so well? They always say presentation is everything and the boxes, all beribboned are gorgeous. I cannot thank you enough for taking me there and giving me the chance to go back once more!
Your photographs in the collage are superb and would make a wonderful brochure at a welcome center. You have a great eye and wonderful artistic flair. I want to thank you always for being a part of #MarketFriday! You add so a fine piece of culture whenever you post. Always thorough, always well written and always photographed beautifully.
