Enjoy Sunday with Local Dishes at Alif Kuliner

Local dishes have to be enjoyed for me, when going out for a walk with parents on weekend.

This Sunday I walked to a restaurant in the village with my mother.

Alif Kuliner a food place that is easily accessible in the city of Binjai, North Sumatra, Indonesia.

My mother chose this place. She said, according to her appetite. While I have never been to this place before.

About the Place

Alif Kuliner nuanced a special place to eat in the village with lots of bamboo and wood ornaments, and put a lot of green things to keep it seen one with nature.

There is a big tree in front of the restaurant which makes it cool.

Stools and tables use wood to keep up the natural theme.

Food

Alif Kuliner provides authentic Indonesian menus.

As their tagline, Alif Kuliner serves delicious-tasting food even at cheap prices in the village.

Visitors can choose popular menus of Indonesian food such as fried rice, various noodles, and various Indonesian side dishes.

Our favorite local dishes that we enjoy are Kwetiau (Rice Noodles) and Gurami Fish which is seasoned sweet and sour.

Gurami in sweet and sour sauce enjoyed with rice.

The marinade is quite delicious and the texture of the fish is really good in my opinion.

The special thing about this gouramy dish is the complement of thick sliced onions and the addition of pineapple. So it tastes sweet and a little sour.

For Kwetiau, rice noodles that my mother enjoyed, I also like the taste.

We both have really the same tastes. ❤

Snack

For the snack, we enjoyed the crispy fried calamari.

Drinks

My mother enjoyed Dragon Fruit Juice and I chose to enjoy Tamarillo Juice.

It's incomplete if you visit the North Sumatra area if you don't drink Tamarillo Juice.

Tamarillo juice has a sour but fresh taste and character.

So, enjoying the beauty on Sunday is enough to spend time with the people we love, and enjoy the food that we like.
