Valiasr Street... Tehran
Today I want to talk about Valiasr street that is my favorite street in Tehran...
Valiasr street is the highest street in Tehran, and the longest Middle East street with a lenght of 17.9 km, which runs from the railway station in the middle of southern Tehran and reaches the Tajrish Square in the Shemiranat area in northern Tehran.
This street was built on the orders of Reza Shah.
Its initial name was " Pahlavi Road " and was called " Pahlavi Street " before the 1979 revolution . After the Iranian Revolution of 1977 , it was first named for the first two and a half years under the name of " Mosaddeq Street " and then renamed its current name Vali Asr.
There are many large shopping malls, public parks, restaurants, museums, cultural centers and national and international offices on this street. This street is also a traditional shopping mall of Tehran, and there are large gardens on the edge of this street.
