The next morning I woke up late. My husband was not sleeping. He returned from his walk and was very excited about the chic weather and beautiful scenes outside. Of course, he did not take the camera. Obviously, one photographer per a family is quite enough.	Наступного дня я прокинулась пізно. Чоловік уже не спав. Від повернувся з прогулянки і із захопленням розказував, яка там шикарна погода і як там гарно. Фотоапарат він, звісно, не брав. Мабуть досить на сім'ю і одного фотографа.

Наступного дня я прокинулась пізно. Чоловік уже не спав. Від повернувся з прогулянки і із захопленням розказував, яка там шикарна погода і як там гарно. Фотоапарат він, звісно, не брав. Мабуть досить на сім'ю і одного фотографа.


While I was dressing up, the sky was dragged by the clouds. Our true trullo was located in a bedroom district, that's why streets in the morning were quiet and empty. In the beginning. Then, out of nowhere a long crowded snake of retired tourists came in slow pace.	Поки я одягалась, небо затягнуло хмарами. Наше трульне труло знаходилось у спальному районі, тож людей на вулицях було мало. Спочатку. Потім звідкись довгою багатолюдною змійкою виповзла велика група туристів-пенсіонерів.
Not only I was concern to not get trampled by them. The local cat was also terrified and climbed as high as he could, but it just made them more excited.	Не лише я боялась, щоб мене не затоптали. Місцевий кіт навіть вирішив залізти повище, але це спровокувало нову хвилю захвату та клацання затворів.

Поки я одягалась, небо затягнуло хмарами. Наше трульне труло знаходилось у спальному районі, тож людей на вулицях було мало. Спочатку. Потім звідкись довгою багатолюдною змійкою виповзла велика група туристів-пенсіонерів.

Then enjoy a walk around the city at daylight and pay a visit to to the museum-trullo. Then pack our stuff in the car and drive back to Salerno. Потім прогулятись містом при денному світлі і сходити в музей-труло. потім спакувати речі, в машину і назад, в Салерно.
The January weather in Apulia is similar to ours in May. The bright sun comes to change the clouds and rain.	Січнева погода в Апулії схожа на нашу у травні. На зміну хмарам і дощу швидко приходить яскраве сонце.

As it was a day of check-out, so the plan was as follows: have a cup of coffee with local sweets in the cafe, which I noticed the night before. Then enjoy a walk around the city at daylight and pay a visit to to the museum-trullo. Then pack our stuff in the car and drive back to Salerno.

Це був день виїзду, тож план був наступним: попити кави із місцевими солодощами в кафе, яке я запримітила ще звечора. Потім прогулятись містом при денному світлі і сходити в музей-труло. потім спакувати речі, в машину і назад, в Салерно.

The January weather in Apulia is similar to ours in May. The bright sun comes to change the clouds and rain.

Січнева погода в Апулії схожа на нашу у травні. На зміну хмарам і дощу швидко приходить яскраве сонце.

The all of trulli are like fairy tale houses. Some are well maintained and beautifully decorated, they are either souvenir shops, or for rent for tourists, or rarer, they are real domed house for locals. They were usually built on the basis of one cone - one family. Above the thick walls they constructed a dome, layered with thick rubble, then an additional layer of flat stones slightly slanted (so as to shed water) to the walls exterior. These simple, single-family homes have alcoves built into the thick walls that serve as bedrooms. These houses forming clusters.	Труло не всі на вигляд, як казкові будиночки. Деякі доглянуті і прикрашені, в них знаходяться або сувенірні крамнички, або вони здаються туристам, або, що рідше, в них живуть місцеві жителі. Над товстими стінами будували купол, вкритий шаром щебню, потім додатковий шар плоских каменів злегка нахилених, щоб стікала вода, до зовнішніх стін. Ці прості, одноповерхові будинки мають ніші, вбудовані в товсті стіни, що служити спальнями. Ці будиночки стоять такими собі кластерами.
So when the tax man would come through Apulia in Southern Italy, riding high on a prancing steed, with his armed men, the Trullari could heard the call ringing and would hasten home to break them down: if there was no house, there was no tax.	Отже, коли збирач податків їхав через Апулію в Південну Італію, верхи на коні, із озброєними людьми, трулларі могли почути звук сурми і поспішали додому, щоб зруйнувати його: якщо будинку не було, то і податків не було.

A couple of years ago we stayed at a trulli in that area, very nice part of Italy!
Love the food also!

Невероятные какие-то домики, кажутся такими маленькими. Внутри достаточно просторно? Домики для гномиков из сказки). Кошка на крыше в шоке от количества туристов, похоже))
