Travel Pro Art 15: Street Art in Santiago Chile! Part Two (11 photos)
Hey there my Steemit friends! In this Travel Pro Series we explore art from around the world! The past few years of travel I've really started to become a true fan of the arts. Since walking around is my favorite thing to do, street art probably is my favorite form of art to see! However we'll be exploring art museums, street performances, live music, traditional dance, even laser light shows in this Travel Pro Series!
Santiago Chile was a fun and exciting city to visit. It had many different neighborhoods each with their own characteristics. There were neighborhoods filled with old historic buildings, neighborhoods that were kind of dumpy with graffiti covering every inch, there was a very clean business district with sky scrappers all around, there was a Little Italy, and even a China Town!
However I must say the most artistic district where I found the street art honey-hole was Barrio Bellavista, or neighborhood beautiful view in English. It was just a ten minute walk north from where I was staying. This is where most of these photos were taken. This neighborhood had a vibe all of it's own and that has a lot to do with all this great street art! Now let's have a look!

Some pretty amazing street art! Love the brightness of the colours and how it makes the art come alive. I even see a little Picasso influence in some of them!

While you were there, I was sitting on my couch and eating M&m's. So when i sit on my couch and eat M&Ms, I like to hold two m&m's in between my fingers and squeeze as hard as I can until one m&m cracks. I eat the cracked one, and the one that didn't crack becomes the champion. Then I grab the other m&m, and force it to compete with the champion in this deadly game of m&m gladiators. I do this until I run out of m&m's, and when there is only one m&m left standing, I send a letter to m&m's brand with the champion m&m in it with a note attached that reads: "Please use this m&m for breeding purposes.

Street art is very interesting, many times you do not know who did it, they are anonymous arts that are often used to express very pure feelings or social problems of that region. I support that type of art a lot and I would like you to support it more. Thank you for sharing and for making excellent photographs. Greetings.

In Brazil, for example, some of the street artists are quite well known I believe. 😊

Yeah I'm in Glens Fall New York at the moment. Not sure how much time I'll spend here. Just playing things by ear for the moment. RIght, probably am running a bit or a lot less than 50/50! lol

Hey buddy. I too did a street art post like this in Playa del Carmen, was like my first or second month on Steemit.
My plans are totally up in the air all of sudden. I recently met a really nice girl that would be down for traveling the world/ living my lifestyle and among other things having many other good characteristics. Very very difficult to find someone free enough to just ....."go". I'm looking for something long lasting in a very picky way, so I'm turning my focus on that. Like finding a needle in a haystack. So I'm going to hang around here for a while and see how things play out. I'm tired of traveling alone, so I guess finding a companion is number one now.
But I'll certainly keep you posted. What about you and Tammy? Spending the summer in Czech Republic?
