Prague - Our Trip Part 2

Hi Steemians,

this weekend we are on a little trip through the Czech capital city Prague!
If you haven't read it yet, you can find part one here.

We startet the day

with a nice breakfast which was brought to our bed, which is included in the hotels' service. Never did that before so wanted to try it, and it was freaking cool :) felt like some rich guys from a freakin' movie or something! We thought one person will come to the room with a buffet car, knock and then leave. Suddenly there were 3 of them, one after another bringing in sparkling vine and plates and then this huge tablet full of food.

We prepared the remaining food for takeaway for the rest of the day. We may be lazy and luxury on this trip but we will never leave food to be thrown away! :D

Next we walked

up the hill to climb up the observation tower Petřín from where we had an awesome view over Prague! The tower is 63,5m tall and was built in 1891 as a little replica of the French eiffel tower - which is easy to recognize when you see it ;)

Today was a very stormy day so the stairs up the little hill and up the tower felt like a walk to Mordor - but the view was worth it :)

Mystery paths of Prague

Our next stops took us to two museums, first the Museum of alchemists and magicians of old Prague which tells the storys of Pragues alchemists.

Edward Kelley is the most famous of them. Actually a part of the museum is the very house where he lived and experimented.
Here you see him hiding behind a wall, as one of his experiments went wrong and blew away a part of the roof.

William Shakespeare was there for some time writing as the place inspired him and it is told he had a romance there :) but not with Edward Kelley!

It is allowed to take pictures of everything and there is more to see but if you are interested in the history I recommend to go there and visit it by yourself :) do not want to tell too much!

The second museum was the Ghosts and Legends Museum in there you can find the legends of Pragues' ghost storys, like the baby that is haunting the Charles Bridge, it is said the devil took his life on this bridge, before it was even born..scary!

Alcohol paths of Prague

After the musuems we switched to the other side of the Moldavia and visited the Absintherie where... yeah obviously everything there is combined with absinth or you can try all kind of different absinth.
We drank an absinth-mojito, an absinth-zombie and 4 absinth-shots of different brands:

Of course you can also order the famous Absinth fountain, then you get this fancy fountain to add the water to your absinth-sugar-mix but we were happy with our shots. As absinth can have up to 89% you should drink water between the shots... before you see the "green fairy" ;)

Last stop today

was in an irish pub where we ate some burger and fish n chips with a cold cider in a great atmosphere.

So here we are again in the hotel room: fed up, a little drunk and with tired legs. Maybe we'll find ourselves at the hotel bar, in the sauna or even in a bar around the corner in a few hours - let's see what happens... main thing is not to walk more than 100m :D

Tomorrow we need to check out and have to leave this beautiful city, but we will see us again Prague!
