My Tour to BIG ALMATY LAKE [EN/DE]
Hi everybody! After a fantastic day at Charyn Canyon, yesterday my next excursion was on the agenda, about which I would like to tell you today!
Hallo Leute! Nach einem traumhaften Tag am Charyn Canyon, stand bei mir gestern der nächste Ausflug auf dem Programm, von dem ich euch heute berichten möchte!
Since the weather yesterday was anything but nice, but the forecast predicted a change in the evening, I waited until 3.30 pm before taking a taxi to Big Almaty Lake. The journey over the winding mountain road took about one hour.
Da das Wetter gestern alles andere als schön war und der Wetterbericht gegen Abend aber Besserung vorhersagte, wartete ich bis 15.30, bevor ich mit dem Taxi in Richtung Big Almaty Lake startete. Die Fahrt über die serpentinenreiche Strecke dauerte ca. eine Stunde.
Big Almaty Lake is located at over 2,500m above sea level and is surrounded by numerous snow-capped mountain peaks. When I got out of the car I felt the altitude immediately. It was of course significantly colder than in downtown Almaty. The felt temperature was not far from zero degrees celsius.
Der Big Almaty Lake befindet sich auf über 2.500m Seehöhe und ist umgeben von zahlreichen, schneebedeckten Berggipfeln. Beim Aussteigen bekam ich die Höhenlage gleich zu spüren. Es war natürlich bedeutend kälter, als in der Innenstadt von Almaty. Die gefühlte Temperatur war nicht weit vom Gefrierpunkt entfernt.
The lake is Almaty's fresh water reservoir, from here a pipeline leads directly into the city. Therefore it is unfortunately not possible to go down to the lake shore. It is permanently monitored by security personnel.
Der See ist Almatys Süßwasserreservoir, von hier führt eine Pipeline direkt in die Stadt. Deshalb ist es leider auch nicht möglich, bis an das Seeufer herunterzugehen. Dieses wird permanent von Sicherheitspersonal überwacht.
However, the view from the mountain road is definitely worth the trip. The colour of the lake was impressive even under a cloudy sky. I can imagine the water glowing almost surreal, turquoise blue in the sunshine.
Die Aussicht von der Gebirgsstraße ist aber auf jeden Fall schon den Ausflug wert. Die Farbe des Sees war schon bei wolkenverhangenem Himmel beeindruckend. Ich kann mir vorstellen, dass das Wasser bei Sonnenschein fast schon surreal, türkisblau leuchtet.
I tried to bring a bit of colour into my shots, the bad weather didn't make the conditions for taking pictures easy.
Ich bemühte mich, ein bisschen Farbe in meine Aufnahmen zu bringen, das schlechte Wetter machte die Bedingungen zum Fotografieren nicht gerade einfach.
After a long walk and several shots, I took a taxi back to the city. That's it for me for day trips from Almaty. In the next post, I will finally present you some pictures and information about the city itself. See you soon!
Nach einem ausgiebigen Spaziergang und diversen Aufnahmen, fuhr ich mit dem Taxi wieder zurück in die Stadt. Das wars für mich erstmal mit Tagesausflügen von Almaty. Im nächsten Post werde ich euch dann auch endlich ein paar Aufnahmen und Informationen über die Stadt selbst präsentieren. Bis bald!

ich konnt's nicht lassen und musste nach deiner Aussage zum türkisblauen See einfach Google fragen und tatsächlich
Da lohnt sich ein Ausflug auf jeden Fall. Es war mir gar nicht bewusst, das das abgelegene Kasachstan solch wunderbare Gegenden aufweisst. Wenn es nur nicht so weit weg wäre.
Was hat dich dorthin gezogen?

Oh ja, so hätte ich den See auch gerne gesehen, aber immer kann man nicht Glück haben mit dem Wetter! 😉
Ja, von dir ist es wirklich weit, ich hab ja zum Glück nur 4,5 Flugstunden gebraucht. Ich mag es sehr, noch eher untouristische, aber aufstrebende Reiseziele zu erkunden, Kasachstan hat mich deshalb schon lange fasziniert!

ich finde dir ist es super gelungen aus diesem grauen Tag das beste rauszuholen... Das ist wie im Leben: es kann einfach nicht immer die Sonne scheinen. Besonders wichtig ist aber auch bei Regen das beste draus zu machen ✌️
