CHARYN CANYON - Kazakhstan's Miracle of Nature [EN/DE]

Good morning from Almaty, dear Steemians! I hope you had a nice weekend! Yesterday the time finally arrived, the supposed highlight of my trip to Kazakhstan was on the agenda and I was not disappointed. It was simply the most impressive place I've seen for a long time!

Guten Morgen aus Almaty, liebe Steemianer! Ich hoffe ihr hattet ein schönes Wochenende! Bei mir war es gestern endlich soweit, das vermeintliche Highlight meines Kasachstantrips stand auf dem Programm und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Es war der beeindruckendste Ort, den ich seit längerer Zeit gesehen habe!

Early in the morning I started, together with my group, the bus tour from a central square in Almaty. Hard to believe, but the whole day trip costs just under 12€ per person. I've already paid ten times the price for similar tours.

Früh morgens starte ich, zusammen mit meiner Reisegruppe, die Bustour von einem zentralen Platz in Almaty. Kaum zu glauben, aber der gesamte Tagesausflug kostete gerade mal knapp 12€ pro Person. Ich habe schon den zehnfachen Preis für ähnliche Touren bezahlt.

The drive to the canyon takes about four hours, first over the highway, then the roads become narrower and worse. The last ten kilometres you actually only drive over the bare soil. When we finally reached the parking lot, we went over some stairs directly into the canyon.

Die Fahrt zum Canyon dauert ungefähr vier Stunden, zuerst über die Autobahn, dann werden die Straßen immer enger und schlechter. Die letzten zehn Kilometer fährt man eigentlich nur noch über die blanke Erde. Endlich am Parkplatz angekommen, ging es dann über einige Treppen direkt in den Canyon.

There was no lack of tourists here, as I noticed right at the beginning. This was certainly due to the fantastic weather and the fact that it was a Sunday. Within Kazakhstan, this place is also extremely popular.

An Touristen mangelte es hier nicht, wie ich gleich zu Beginn merkte. Das war sicher auch dem traumhaften Wetter geschuldet und dem Umstand, dass es ein Sonntag war. Innerhalb Kasachstans ist dieser Ort auch extrem populär.

On the way through the canyon you can hardly get out of amazement. No wonder that it is often called the Grand Canyon's little brother. Every few meters you will find new spectacular photo motives. I always have to take care that I enjoy such impressions with my own eyes and not just constantly look through the viewfinder of my camera.

Auf dem Weg durch den Canyon kommt man aus dem Staunen kaum heraus. Kein Wunder, dass er oft als kleiner Bruder des Grand Canyon bezeichnet wird. Alle paar Meter findet man neue spektakuläre Fotomotive. Ich muss mich ja immer zusammenreißen, dass ich solche Eindrücke auf mich wirken lasse und nicht nur ständig durch den Sucher meiner Kamera schaue.

At the end of the gorge there is the "Eco Park", a small village of tents and cabins where you can also stay overnight. There are also some restaurants and sanitary facilities, as well as a river with clear, greenish shining water. Here was also the meeting point of my travel group, before we headed to the most beautiful viewpoint of the canyon.

Am Ende der Schlucht befindet sich der „Eco Park“, ein kleines Dorf aus Zelten und Hütten, in denen man auch übernachten kann. Hier findet man auch einige Restaurants und sanitäre Anlagen, sowie einen Fluss mit klarem, grünlich schimmerndem Wasser. Hier war auch der Sammelpunkt meiner Reisegruppe, bevor wir uns auf den Weg machten, zum schönsten Aussichtspunkt des Canyons.

The short ascent is a bit steep, but it's worth it! The view is simply breathtaking. With all my love for architecture, I always realize in such moments that the most impressive places in our world were all created by nature.

Der kurze Aufstieg ist zwar etwas steil, aber es lohnt sich! Die Aussicht ist einfach nur atemberaubend. Bei all meiner Liebe zur Architektur, merke ich in solchen Momenten doch immer wieder, dass die beeindurckendsten Orte auf unserer Welt, alle von der Natur erschaffen wurden.

It was really hard for me to leave Charyn Canyon, but after some pictures I had to start my way back to the car park.

Es fiel mir wirklich schwer, mich vom Charyn Canyon zu trennen, aber nach einigen Aufnahmen musste ich den Rückweg zum Busparkplatz antreten.

On the way we stopped in a small village to buy some snacks and drinks for the drive back to Almaty. Here are some more impressions from the return trip for you. The Kazakh landscape is simply beautiful, my face was actually permanently stuck to the window pane and the four-hour drive went by very quickly!

Unterwegs blieben wir noch in einem kleinen Dorf stehen, um ein paar Snacks und Getränke für die Fahrt, zurück nach Almaty einzukaufen. Hier habe ich noch ein paar Eindrücke von der Rückfahrt für euch. Die kasachische Landschaft ist einfach wunderschön, mein Gesicht klebte eigentlich permanent an der Fensterscheibe und die vierstündige Fahrt verging wie im Flug!

I am sure some of you are already surprised about all the things that Kazakhstan has to offer. But there are more highlights on the agenda for me, of which I will of course report to you in the next few days. Until then I wish you a good start of the new week!

Ich bin mir sicher, dass der ein oder andere von euch bereits überrascht ist, was Kasachstan alles zu bieten hat.
