My First Vacation Out of Canada: Montana & Yellowstone National Park!

in #travel7 years ago

At the end of June, my boyfriend @joshsigurdson, our friend @theeconomictruth and I took a 9 day trip to the US. We visited Montana and Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming.

Bozeman, Montana was our destination. We were going there for the Red Pill Expo hosted by G. Edward Griffin. Several hundred people showed up to hear experts speak on the many sides of health, politics, economics, conspiracies and agriculture including my significant other @joshsigurdson.

It was an incredible event. I got to meet an array of great people and hear so many diverse views. I can't wait to go back in 2018 to catch up and connect with everyone!

Anyways...

Before we headed to the event, we made a stop in Yellowstone. It was such a beautiful place!

It took two days to get as far as we did and we didn't even get to see everything. There were countless hot springs and geysers. All of which were very pretty and also very pungent. :P

We saw many animals while driving through the park. Bison, caribou, an elk and several kinds of birds. I even hung out with chipmunk! lol

Everywhere you looked, there was beauty. A beauty one simply cannot conceive unless witnessed by one's own eyes.

All in all, I had an amazing time in both Montana and Wyoming. I met so many wonderful people and saw two beautiful states. Next year is going to be just as much of a blast and I cannot wait to go back. :)

Great photos. I still want to make it to Yellowstone some day before the super-volcano blows up and ruins the landscape. ;-)

I definitely recommend it!

Great post. Beautiful photos.

Do you plan to visit the same area, or check out a different part of the US?

If you visit the Midwest, I might recommend visiting the Boundary Waters area in northern Minnesota, checking out the sights in the Duluth region, and then a day trip to see Sibley State Park near the center of the state. I didn't make it to the Boundary Waters this summer, but I wrote about the rest of my suggestions.

Sibley State Park
Various hiking trails and walking paths across Minnesota
The Lake Superior Railroad Museum
More travels in the Two Harbors and Duluth Area

Thank you for the suggestions!

Very interesting read, Thanks you for sharing it!

That's some seriously beautiful country. And what a riot to see your boyfriend present a talk. You must be very proud.

Griffin's Creature from Jekyll Island was an illuminating read. How was his event?

I am very proud of him :) And the event was amazing. So many great people were there! I'm very excited for next year :)
