Sjennon sees the World #10 - Messing around with my Samsung S8 in the Andaman Sea [Koh Phi Phi, Thailand]

in #travel6 years ago (edited)

Get ready for some chicks in bikinis!

As mentioned in the previous post - about wandering off to Long Beach which turned out to take longer than expected.

I told you guys to stay tuned to our noob photography of us. So here it is!

After our entertaining walk we submerged in clear blue waters. Oh, remember when I bought myself the Samsung S8 and that it can handle water? Well, that really made me less scared of dropping my phone in the water - so we brought it along.

It is time for some noob photography/modelling ;D

I absolutely adore the selective focus function on my S8 and end up with some neat looking pictures.

Before we went to Long Beach, we got our hands on some snorkeling gear as Shark Point should've been pretty amazing. Renting snorkeling equipment was about 100 TBH through our hostel, but why not buy a cheap set for 280 TBH? So we did and decided to try it out.

Disclaimed: We never really got to Shark Point as it was quite a swim to get there in the first place and, you know, it would probably freak me out so see sharks.

On a more serious note though, the views from almost anywhere on Koh Phi Phi were absolutely stunning.

Ofcourse, nothing is funny without blooper pictures..

Very nice pictures. Wow your phone's camera is great. I live in Thailand. what island are you on please?

Yes, I absolutely love the camera on my S8. I do not regret purchasing it a single bit!

This blogpost is about Koh Phi Phi :)

Thank you and Koh Phi Phi is a beautiful Island. Enjoy.

checkout how clear is that water!!!! greats pics ... so gorgeous!!!! keep them coming and keep in touch

Oh yes, it is amazing to see water as clear as this. I could stare right down at my toes!

Great pics and I must admit to my shallowness of having my attention drawn to the 'chicks in bikinis' comment, although chicks in bikinis wearing snorkelling gear almost puts you into fetish territory lol
Good to see you having so much fun on your travels, hope you're going to check out Langkawi, just a 45min boat ride from Satun pier which isn't too far from where you are.
Be safe, but always be young, foolish and happy :-)

Hahaha, oh dear. I didn't mean to trigger some kind of fetish movement on my blog :p

Thanks for stopping by! It is fun for sure. And maybe we will! After Thailand it's Malaysia's turn to impress us :D

Hey, I host a challenge. Would be happy to see you participate: Where Is This
Guess the location and win 0.1 SBD every week.

Oh man, these photos are making me miss Thailand so freakin much!!! That water is just stunning. Phi Phi is beautiful, but I think that Koh Pha-ngan is my fave. Kho Samui is also really cool. It's so easy and cheap to go island hopping there, I'm (more than a little) jealous right now haha. Looks like you girls are having a great time!

Haaa, I am sorry (not so much though). I love to share these stories and hopefully submerge the reader into my experiences!

We haven't visited the mentioned islands yet (currently on Koh Tao). Though, we have to leave Thailand on the 19th, so not sure if we will have enough time to check those out.

What makes those islands so awesome (and different) than this one?

Also, there are some places around SE Asia where you can see the phosphorescent algae at night (the ones that glow in the dark). If you get a chance you should really ask around and see if there are any areas you can see it, it is actually stunning to witness in person.

Yes! They should've been there but somehow the sea repels me at night :P

Please help me upvote.

wow a fun trip.
Have a nice day.

Cheers from Sandakan, Sabah (Borneo)
If you like nature and wildlife be sure to visit us here in the Land below the wind. Mid March onwards will be a perfect time to visit as the monsoon starts to wane. Have fun and you only live once!

Aah, cheers right back at you! Thanks for the tip, we shall definitely keep it in mind!

I think you need a gopro to take an underwater shot :)

I do! They are expensive though.

However, today I experimented a bit with my phone :D

Oh shite. That will be challenging but I shall try it these days!

I am ready for your challenge :)

I am also trying to contribute #goprophotography in steemit. You can contribute to the tag.

If I only had a go pro though!
