Matthias Church and Buda Castle
Today we wandered around the grounds of Fisherman's Bastion and were awed at the one of the tallest viewpoints in Budapest: Matthias Church. Built originally in 1015 and restored in the late 19th century, this is a Roman Catholic church built in a Romanesque style.
Being located right in the heart of the Fisherman's Bastion, expect a lot of tourists so make sure to visit early in the morning to catch the sunrise!
Only a 20 minute walk away is Buda Castle, definitely worth a visit. The views from the top are spectacular, the grounds have lots of interesting history, and be sure to visit the Virgin Mary Statue located at one end of the castle battlement walls.
Look out for the imposing statues at both locations!

Budapest is one of my favorite cities in Europe, it's so much fun and extremely beautiful. I love your photography of Buda Castle and the Church, photos definitly don't do it justice though.
Same here after being there! Have you ever been to the Sparty over there? And completely agreed, nothing compared to actually being there and experiencing for yourself. So glad you like the photography though!
