History :
The Khan Mohammad Mirza Mosque on Lalbagh street is arranged not as much as a large portion of a kilometer west of the Lalbagh Fort. Two Persian engravings, one over the focal passage and the other over the focal Mihrab, talk about its development amid 1704– 05 AD by one Khan Muhammad Mirza.
The substantial stage is 38.10 m from north to south and 28.96 m from east to west. Its tallness is around 5.18 m starting from the earliest stage. Underneath the stage are vaulted rooms on all sides aside from the eastern side. In the eastern side, there is a stairway which closes with an entryway adjusting the focal entryway of the mosque legitimate. It is through this passage that one can achieve the highest point of the stage.
The fundamental mosque where the Imam and a couple of Musullis are suited comprises of three vaults bears declaration of the engineering working on amid the sixteenth century. Two Persian engravings, one over the focal passage and the other over the focal Mihrab. As per an engraving found, the mosque was worked amid the lead of Deputy Governor of Dhaka, Farrukh Siyar, by a Khan Muhammad Mirza, who could have been the engineer. The development was arranges by a Qazi Ibadullah amid 1704– 05 AD.
The stage is 16'- 6" over the ground level. The tahkhana involves vaulted spaces for living purposes. The mosque is gotten to from the east, up a flight of twenty-five stages. Region shrewd, the mosque involves just a little part of the stage.
Khan Mohammad Mirza mosque, an archeological site situated in southern Dhaka, close Lalbagh fortification. The mosque transcends its surroundings in light of the fact that the tahkhana or underground rooms of the mosque are above review. The top of the tahkhana frames the stage on which the mosque is arranged. The roomy petition put before the fundamental mosque is open every which way enabling air to stream and keep the Musullis cool.
