Coffee in the Camper
Having fresh ground coffee every morning at camp has been a real luxury. Some mornings are pretty chilly here in Colorado and it really helps start our day. I wanted to share the way we make coffee without electricity every day.
Several months ago I found a vintage hand coffee grinder on Etsy. My electric one had actually caught on fire trying to use it on a 12v power inverter. We are usually without electricity wherever we go so a hand powered grinder seemed the best choice. It's been working out great and the perfect size for two people.
We boil the water on propane heat generally unless we have a fire going that morning. Our little stainless tea kettle is lightweight and the perfect size for two cups of coffee. This one is made by GSI known for other camping equipment.
We use a stainless French press to steep the coffee grounds in or for making tea also. Again it is the perfect size for two cups of coffee or tea.
Whole coffee beans can be found at most grocery stores and some are better than others. Some of the local brands here in Colorado are pretty good. We are almost out of the last batch and need to go shopping again!

Very practical from the sounds of it!
I have a very similar coffee grinder as yours. Mine was my grand father's, a Fraber Garantito Acciaio that was made in Italy many years ago. It has stood the test of time, use, and storage extremely well. Killer grinders even for people who have power available.
