Dublin, Ireland
Hey guys today I'm gonna share a few photos from my recent trip to Dublin, Ireland. I went there with my girlfriend, Rachel. She is a comedian and they asked her to participate in the Vodafone Comedy Festival located in the Iveagh Gardens in Dublin. We were lucky enough to make this part vacation and part work (for me it was all vacation).
We started out by exploring the city. One of our early stops was the Dublin Castle. We decided to take the self-tour (basically pay for an entrance ticket and explore at your own leisure, this option does not include a tour guide) for 7 Euro. Each room has a small sign to describe its history and significance.
Here is a picture of the crew that I explored the Dublin Castle and the city with (quick note: I am the only non-comedian pictured)
In the front left you have Nate Bargatze (he took this photo and posted it on his Instagram), behind him is Sam Morril, Colin Quinn, Mark Normand, Chris Distefano, Rachel Feinstein (my girlfriend), and lastly myself. They are all very funny comics and you can check them out on YouTube, Comedy Central, and Netflix.
Dublin is a great place to go if you love pubs. There are literally pubs in every direction. Pictured here is the Brazen Head, which is Ireland's oldest pub est in 1198.
No trip to Ireland would be complete without a "Pint of the Black Stuff." Dublin is home to the famous Guinness Stout. Many of the locals say, "Guinness doesn't travel well and that you really have to try it here in Dublin to get the best pint." In my opinion, there is no comparison. You really need to try a pint in Ireland. It has such a smooth, creamy texture that cannot be matched here in the states.
You have to be patient with your Guinness. Be sure to let it settle. It's truly a mesmerizing thing to watch. Once it has that beautiful black color and smooth consistency with the white head, you can now enjoy a pint of true deliciousness.

Ah - what a fab trip - how did your GF enjoy the comedy festival? I 'm Irish and living here - and yes the Guinness is much better at home - no comparison!
We had a blast. There were plenty of great comics at the Vodafone Festival and the people in Dublin were great. We just got back from Toronto, the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival...Ireland was much better!
of course! although my daughter was recently in Toronto and had a ball :-)
