A Sneak Peek of my Engineering Career at Minglanilla, Cebu

Since she has already told you about her insights and feelings in her recent post, I would love to tour you in our plant at Minglanilla, Cebu, Philippines. Please consider this as a sort of educational tour for you all. Hope you'll like it.

Techno Stress Concrete Steel Corp.

Techno Stress Concrete Steel Corp. or previously known as Techno Stress-Systems Corp., was created to complement the needs of UKC Builders Inc. which was founded by Mr. Uy Ylan Plng in the year 1994. Techno Stress is principally engaged in manufacturing pre-stressed concrete products and offers pile driving services using the Hydraulic Static Pile Driver which complements the existing conventional diesel hammers and a 7-ton capacity hydraulic impact hammer to raise the bar in the local industry to quality standards currently adopted in Europe and other Asian countries.

When I first embark in the doors of the company's good office located at Minglanilla, Cebu, Philippines, one thing was in my mind which was quoted by Aristotle,

Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work.

And then I told myself, "You're gonna do just as good as what you have perceived. AJA!"

I started working as an office engineer, in charge with the sales. In my position, I sometimes tour the students from different colleges to every corner of our plant. So for now, let me give you a little educational tour about what we have and what we do. Also, to prove that weren't too busy to keep on steeming. Kidding aside, hehehe.

As I've said, our company offers pre-stressed concrete and pile driving. You ready?

Techno Stress Cebu branch has its own batching plant which can hold up to 3000 bags of cement each silo.

This was ideally realized by the management to supplement the needs of the daily concrete pouring for concrete square and sheet piles. These piles are used to stabilize the ground for better foundation of buildings. In Cebu province alone, Techno has offered various services to SM Prime Holdings, Venray Construction, Toyota Cebu, Chong Hua Medical Center, Asian Grains, and BNR Corp., and Metro Retails. In order to sustain the needs and demands of the clients, Techno has five 100-meter twin line casting beds.

Also, the plant has various of equipment ready to mobilize to wherever the project is. And anything in the company premises is carefully inventoried.

Well, overall experience of every engineer in Techno is truly commendable. With sufficient exposure I could say we're lucky enough.

But life's uncertainties don't let us settle in our comfort zones. There will always be challenges along the way which you'll think life is truly unfair. Rejections, disapproval and unsolicited insults you'll receive. But I'd like to emphasize that it's normal to feel life is unfair. Come to think of this,

If you think that life is unfair to you and others think life is also unfair to them, then life is fairly unfair for everybody.

Right?

So, I fought for what I wanted and learned to lay low when needed. Then constantly reminding myself that,

If one door closes, probably a new window will open.

Just keep on believing that things happen for a reason!
