My journey in Greece (Thessaloniki) day 17
Starting off with another beautiful sunset. This time I wanted to share with you some photos from Aggia Sophia. Unfortunately the quality of my camera is not that good indoors. I tried to capture some elements that give you the emotion that this place gave me. I have to tell, nothing beats the experience of actually being there and just contemplating.
Otherwise, I managed to get some more drawings done. Mainly I have some studies of skulls at different angles and I tried to draw a face using charcoal. It's quite difficult, as I have never used this before, but I'd like to try it out some more. You can see some of the skulls are done in the same way.
Hope you have enjoyed my post! :) All in all, it was a productive day.
See you very soon with a new one! As always, have a great day friends!

Beautiful post, Mike ! Love how you captured that sunset pic in the first image and I think I agree, it is incomparable to experience place directly and through photos, but still, I think your photos are able to bring that ancient and soulful feeling of this old church... :D Which is the next best thing for someone like me, who would probably will never get the actual chance for a visit! So, thanks <3 !!!
Love the drawings, too, the skull, being done from different angles is a very interesting exercise and I really like the final piece, with its well developed shadows and framing :)
I'm soo happy you enjoyed the photos, spidey! I realize that's the beauty of sharing those experiences, taking other people through your adventures and letting everyone see how wonderful the world can be :)
Thank you for the nice words! It gets a bit repetitive to do all those skulls, but I know this will really help me in the long run.
