Road Trip Europe 2017 - Part 3 - Drive alongside the Adriatic, towards Split
Having experienced Dubrovnik, it was already time to head North and drive towards the city of Split.
In the morning we had our must-drink coffee from the near bar. Just a brief moment to put all our baggage into the suitcases and we were ready to go! I had 2 choices for the road. One was to take the fast route through the highway, but I chose the way, that was going next to the shore. Thanks god, I decided to take it! Such a fairy and picturesque sea view all alongside the road.
At about 10:00 o'clock we left for our 210 kilometers day trip. We decided, that we will stop wherever and whenever we see a beautiful beach from the road. And in fact there were so much beautiful beaches all just by the road, that it was a bit complicated to choose the best! They are all great.
Our road led through Bosnia and Herzegovina again, but when we reached the border, a policeman said to us "Oh, Bulgarians! Go this way!" and we took a kind of a shortcut, which did not lead via the border desks.
In fact our first stop was not exactly at a beach. We saw a beautiful lake on the river of Neretva. We were amazed by the beauty of the lake. Marvelous greenish hint, next to the blue river!

Some fruits, that we bought from a woman on the road.
The valley of the river (river of Neretva) is called "The Valley of Life", because although the whole shore is rocky and dry, this valley is evergreen and it's a center for production of fruits and vegetables. For that reason we decided to buy some nectarinas and some white grapes. Yummy! Very refreshing in the hot summer weather.
About an hour after passing the river, we stopped on the first beach! Crystal water, clean beaches(although a bit rocky) and great coolness under the pine-like trees! This beach was just like a little paradise!

After some refreshment in the Adriatic waters, we cooled our inner selves with great by-the-beach ice-cream and were ready to head towards our next target - another beach further North on the shore, not until we get overheated again! This next stop got to be about 50 kilometers away from split, so... a perfect timing for our stop!
It was as beautiful as the previous one! And not over populated! Just peaceful small beaches with crystal blue water.
Final stop for the day - Split... Actually... a few kilometers away from split in the Kastel city! Thankfully, our place-to-stay was very neat and clean room, decorated in green. And it was in a traditional house, built of stones and looking awesome! The host was a very nice lady, always smiling and gave her best to make us feel like home! You should check Soba Ami in Kastel! Definitely worth staying there!
The evening walk was great... going through the narrow streets and ancient spirit of the city and observing the sun setting in the horizon! Lovely views and great memories.

A little bit of local beer in the company of a fresh fish with seafood salad, and we were ready to go and have a sleep in our little "cave". In fact it really looked like a cave!

You know whenever anyone tells me or mentions the fact that they would want to travel the world, and more than likely the answer would be that they want to go to either London or America.... Firstly London isn't a country and America is just a load of bullcrap ( sorry to all Americans). But seeing a few pictures of Bosnia and Herzegovina, I would definatly add that to my list of countries I would go.
There are so many countries where tourists rarely go, with no reason as to why, and beside those places are often the most beautifull places on earth unlike the main stream places....
