Weekend Trip to Dallas: Day Two

in #travel6 years ago

Weekend Trip to Dallas part of day one continues with a comply more stops around town.

  1. Holocaust Museum is currently under construction and the minitour is filled with information and pictures of the time leading up to the camps. It was in one of these museums that I learned about the court case proving the legal case for the holocaust occurring. Most museums have at a small portion of their museum dedicated to honoring the survivors. Denial is a movie version if you care to watch. It is on my list of must-sees. Have you questioned a historical event?

  2. Museum of Biblical Art the outside of this museum is worth a walk around. The metal artwork is unique and biblical representation reflects the name. Inside the artwork various and doesn't align with the name. I did find an artist that exemplifies abstract art. Have you heard of Michael O'Keefe?

The main event, the reason for the trip, started with a book signing.

Chris Hogan, released his newest book called, Everyday Millionaires. Chris is one of the Dave Ramsey personnel. One of the stops for his book tour was Texas. Meeting him at the one of the books signing events was the start of many unexpected fangirl moments. No, I didn't take a weekend trip for a book signing, it was for the Smart Confernce.

As a volunteer, we were able to help backstage and listen to various speakers throughout the event. You may not know them or have ever heard of them. In case you are looking for a way out of debt, a way towards finacial freedom, and a way to start a side hustle then Dave Ramsey Solution is one resource you could look into.

It is not a get rich scheme.

To give you an idea, Rachel Cruze is one Dave Ramsey's kids and is actively promoting her book. Love Your Life, Not Theirs. Christy Wright, has an amazing new book out called, Business Boutique. One Question was written by Ken Coleman. I have his book and am currently reading it.

The reading list is long. They cover topics of leadership, marriage, teens, college, and other topics I mentioned above.

If you are the least bit curious most of these books can be found at a local library.

I'll be honest with you most of these books I haven't read. I took Financial Peace University after I graduated from college, but most of the knowledge I gained was learned before then. In college, I learned about becoming debt free and worked towards living without debt, without credit cards, and even without a credit score.

Huge Crush on Anthony O'Neal.

His story is one to be admired. All of them have a unique story, but his the only single one. You get it, we were meant to be.

At the Smart Conference, several of the speakers greeted the volunteers. They were so grateful for us helping them out that day.

We were there just before 6:00 am until just past 7:00 pm. Not all volunteers were debt free, many were on their way, some were just learning, and all were so friendly. I had a blast and reassured that living like no one else, so I can live like no one else is possible.

Delaying pleasure, as Dave likes to say is part of adulting. It is not 2019, you may have goals that will improve all areas of your life. How you plan to reach the goals is the difference between having a dream and actually achieving it. Day two of the trip comes to an end. Day three was a much-needed recovery day. Much needed sleep.

Awesome, I've watch a little bit of Dave Ramsey. Most of what he says make sense granted he a little gunho when it comes to anyone having a car and he's a little dated on income amounts for certain professions.

Always great when he says "so are you a doctor or a lawyer" when it comes to student loans.

It is crazy how much money some people make that show up on his show. Yet they are not wise enough to know what to do with it reasonability to the point they are always broke no matter how much they earn.

Dave Ramsey is an interesting character for sure. Thankfully, his finally updated some of his facts and figures. It seems the amount people are borrowing for non medical or high paying jobs continue to rise.
