This is the third episode for my “ introducing my hometown İstanbul” article. I hope you like the second one. Today I am gonna introduce you some parts of İstanbul which I could not write in previous episode.

Sultanahmet square

Sultanahmet square served as a hippodrome during the Byzantine times. It has hosted many rough and bloody chariot races. During the Ottoman times this square came to be known as the square of horses scattered around the square there are several Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman monuments that survived throughout the ages.You can find many tourist information offices souvenir shops and cafes there.

Sultanahmet meydanı

Sultan Ahmet meydanı, İstanbul’un yerli ve yabancı turistlerin en uğrak yerlerinden bir tanesidir. Burası Bizans zamanında hipodrom olarak kullanılıyordu. Osmanlı zamanda ise buraya at meydanı denirdi. Bu alanda, şehri keşfetmenize yardımcı olacak bir çok turizm danışmanlık büroları bulunmaktadır.

Ortaköy

A lot of locals think that Ortaköy has the best view of the Bosporus. There are a lots of souvenir shops and cafes along the shore and you can take amazing pictures with the Bosphorus bridge in the background. This little town also offers a vibrant nightlife for everyone of different tastes and budgets. If you visit to Ortaköy, I would recommend you to taste traditional Turkish street food Kumpir ( Baked Potatoes ). You'll have the best Kumpir İn İstanbul there.

Ortaköy

İstanbul’un bir çok yerlisi Ortaköy’ün Boğaz’ın en iyi manzarasına sahip olduğunu düşünür. Orada müthiş boğaz manzarasıyla harika fotoğraflar çekebilirsiniz. Ortaköy’e gitme planınız varsa, mutlaka meşhur Ortaköy kumpirini tatmanızı öneririm.

Topkapı Palace

The Ottoman Empire was governed for 400 years premier the Topkapı palace. This palace turned into a museum that showcases priceless treasures of the Ottoman dynasty, jewelry, weapons, clothes as well as Islamic relics. While here, be sure to visit the harem buildings where all the concubines of the Sultan's live.

Topkapı Sarayı

Topkapı Sarayı, Osmanlı zamanında devletin idari merkezi ve Osmanlı padişahlarının yaşadığı yer olarak kullanılmıştır. Bu saray, Osmanlı hanedanının takıları, silahları, kıyafetlerinin ve paha biçilmez mücevherlerin sergilendiği bir müzeye dönüşmüştür. Eğer Topkapı Sarayını ziyaret ederseniz, mutlaka harem dairesini görmenizi tavsiye ederim.
