"The Island Born Of Fire" Part 2: "Outstanding Mantique Island"

Have you been to Camiguin Island or planning a trip? Then don't miss to visit Mantique Island. Highly recommended!

Mantique is a small island located off the coast of the volcanic island province of Camiguin. Also known locally as Magsaysay Island, it's about 4 hectares (9.9 acres) of greenery fringed with a gleaming white beach of powdery coral sand.

Getting to this paradise is easy. It can be reached by boat through the local tour operators in 25–30 minutes from the town of Mahinog. The boat ride cost 600 php or 11 usd for 6 people and an extra 150php if you want to go around the island.

Honestly, it's much better than Boracay (in my own opinion). Why?? because the Island is every inch a paradise.

The beach is very clean, with crystal clear water and powdery white sand. It's so peaceful & less crowded than the white island. There were only few people and you'll feel like you own the island for a day. It has plenty of tables and chairs as well as the shades.

It has a forest area rich with different varieties of trees and a trail heading to the inviting beach!

The people in the island are friendly and the food is good. They have 4 dish variants: chicken, pork, fresh catch of sea foods! And you can decide how would you like it to be cook.

You can also go jetski, snorkle and scuba as they have a fish sanctuary and while enjoying the crystal clear water and white sand, you have the Mt. Timpoong as your backdrop.

It was my first time to step in Mantique and told my self that I would definitely go back here one day!
