Gay and Car; My Traveling Through Germany
We are member of a cars group in Germany which always holds annual rally and traveling events. Our destinations are always different each year, sometimes to southern part of Germany, eastern part, and this year heads to the north of Germany.
This group is Motorboys e.V., Germany's biggest and most active gay automobile club. It is an organization for fans of vintage and classic cars as well new cars.
In the past, while this group was developed, We must be gay to be a member of this group… Times changed, new era has begun, a new normal is defined, and all human beings have equal rights without any discrimination… Now, we also have some non gay members, and a woman. So now Motorboys is not an exclusively gay group though it has gay majority members. It is not about sexual orientation but passion for cars and traveling.
Car and Travel are our Lifestyle
I like cars, for sure, but car is everything for Thomas. He has three cars, while I only have a small Smart… But for me, traveling has more meaning rather than cars… That means, if we are together with this group traveling somewhere… while Thomas enjoy that cars with all of feelings, I enjoy traveling… we are a perfect couple, or..?
They Show Us Germany’s Hidden Gems
This group has 6 regional sections all over Germany. Each section wants to show everything that is best in their area. By traveling with this group, we can stay in the best hotels somewhere we have never been, or eat in the best restaurants from their suggestions, local peoples who know their area very well.
We also found beautiful places in Germany by their guide, that are not appear in holiday catalog. Thanks to them.
They Are Our Local Guide, I am Your Local Guide
Besides national annual event, there is also rally organized by a group in the area. We can come to their event to explore the best places with their guides.
We also have a program to guide them. Last year we guided them to rally along North Sea coast where we lived, then in the evening we made BBQ in our beautiful garden.
I like visitors, and i like to show off my beautiful garden.
Do we get paid to guided them? Of course not… we do it because we like it. Friendship is more than just money.
That's how I can travel through Germany, to explore Germany’s hidden gems.
Although we are traveling a lot, we always make time for this event. This is our only organized traveling. It is nice to meet friends who had the same passion and traveling with nice and friendly companions.

Nice report of the event.. Although the cars are nice, that nature picture is also amazing :) Funny to read that it was a gay club at first but now there's a new "normal" defined by gay members too.. (find it funny because gay people sometimes are discriminated as not normal) .. Nice post !
I meant, here are non gay people (in Germany) defined gay as normal as other people now, no discrimination. We as gay of course always find ourself normal since we were born :)
