Let us go through the great Indian monuments in this series.
3 Gateway of India
It was built by architect George Wittet on the order of Sir George Sydenham Clarke, the Governor of Bombay, to commemorate the royal visit of King George V and Queen Mary, in 1911. It is located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India and built in 10 years of time frame 1913-1924. It has Indo-Saracenic with Muslim influences style architecture and built using yellow kharodi basalt and reinforced concrete. It has a central dome of 48 feet in diameter and 83 feet in height.
