SGT MAJ. THAWEE FOLK MUSEUM Phitsanulok
The museum was actually far more enjoyable than I thought it would be in the first place. There are numerous different things to spectate, mainly it's about the history of phitsanulok. It has some main history about Thailand and it's people. There's a lot of old stuff to spectate, how Thai people lived from the land, what tools were used, how they used them. Not to forget the huge amount of antiquities.
The fee is only 50 Baht (€1,25), totally worth it.
OLD THAI HOUSEHOLDS
DIFFERENT HARVESTING TOOLS AND OTHER TOOLS
TRAPS TO CATCH ANIMALS
TWO DIFFERENT KINDS OF MONKEY TRAPS
TOOLS TO ATTRACT ANIMALS BY SOUND
PANS AND POTTERY
CARVED SMALL STATUES
BIG BUGS, CREEPY CRAWLERS
Next line of picture show old Thai antiquities. Everything perfectly lined up, clean, greatly managed, still in superb shape. The people who manage this place, do it with a passion. It's why I gave an extra 50 baht in donations. Beautiful places like this, should continue to exist.
MANY FACES
CHINA-WARE, DISHES AND PLATES
OLD THAI MONEY
OLD LAMPS AND LIGHTS
BUDDHISM TRINKETS AND STATUES
MORE TOOLS
Musical instruments
I took about 200 pictures. Taking all those pictures made me actually stay there, for about 4 to 5 hours. Never got bored doing so.
Princess Sirindhorn
The place is well-known and respected, that even Thai royalty visited the place. There were plenty of visitors, a whole school actually.
Next stop is a building with aquariums. Where you can witness different species of fish living in the phitsanulok river. I never seen these fish in person before. They were quite interesting to view. The fish were pretty curious about me, but there is one you rather not want to meet while swimming in the river.
KIND OF PIT BULL LOOKING GUY
VERY AGGRESSIVE, HOSTILE, SWIMMING TERROR
This is the kind of fish you don't want to meet while swimming. The fish was constantly chasing me too, keeping me in its sight, ready to kill. At first I thought he was really curious about me, it wasn't the case, It was ready to engage.
LOOK HOW HE USES THE BLACK GLASS AS CAMOUFLAGE
HELLO SHARKY
A PACK OF FISH
HEY, HOW YOU DOING PAL
THE KOI CARP
THERE'S JUST SOMETHING ABOUT THESE FISH THAT CALMS THE SOUL
You ever get near phitsanulok? This museum is well worth your time. You'll be intrigued by its history and how the history is managed.
