• Day 6 - Antelope canyon, Lake Powell, Into the Grand dinner

Page is a very small town, developed in 1956 with the construction of Glen Canyon Dam and next to the land of Navajo indian tribe.
Page 는 아주 작은 마을이다, 1956년에 이곳에 Glen Canyon Dam 을 건설하기 시작하면서부터 생긴 도시이다. 또한 인디언 Navajo, 나바호 부족의 땅이 바로 옆에 있는 도시이기도 하다.

The most famous place is Antelope Canyon which has Upper and Lower.
Upper is on the ground and Lower is under the ground.
I just visited Lower Antelope Canyon because a Navajo Indian guide recommend Lower.
Lower has more beautiful rocks and Upper is popular for light beam.
가장 유명한 건 Antelope Canyon.
Upper Antelope Canyon 과 Lower Antelope Canyon 이 있는데, 두 곳을 다 가볼 필요는 없을 것 같아서 Lower 를 선택했다.
나중에 나바호 가이드 청년에게 물어봤더니 Upper는 땅 위에 있어서 Upper 이고 Lower 는 땅 밑에 있어서 Lower 라고 부른단다.
Lower 가 더 밝고 바위가 더 아름답고 Upper 는 light beam 이 더 아름답다고 한다.

You have to pay by cash only in the land of Navajo tribe. There are 2 guide companies, Ken's and Dixie Ellis.
only with the Navajo guide.
You'd better make a reservation in peak season and peak times between 10 am to 12 pm.
이 곳은 나바호 부족의 땅이라 입장료를 내야한다, 1인당 8불, 캐쉬로만...
또 나바호 부족의 가이드 투어만 허용된다. 그 곳에는 2개의 회사가 있다. Ken's 와
Dixie Ellis. 20분, 30분마다 최대 20명의 관광객들이 나바호 부족 가이드 1명과 들어가게 된다. 성수기에는 미리 예약을 해야 하는 것이 좋을 것 같다. 오전 10시에서 12시 사이가 가장 빛이 좋단다.

You don't need to be a professional photographer at all.
no filter, no photoshop needed at all. just take it.
한마디로 바위와 빛이 만들어 내는 예술.
아무데나 사진기를 들이대고 찍기만 하면 컴퓨터나 핸드폰 배경화면에 사용되는 사진이 나온다.
아무런 필터나 효과, 포토샵 보정이 없는 그대로의 사진, 구 모델 셀폰 카메라로, 실력없는 내가 찍은 사진이 이 정도이다.

Very slight angle change shows totally different colos!
신기한 것은 사진 각도가 조금만 달라도 전혀 다른 색의 빛을 볼 수 있다는 거다.

Your guide shows the take-photo points and taking pictures of your family.
군데군데 가이드가 사진 찍는 포인트를 가르쳐주고 가족사진을 찍어주기도 한다.

Next was Lake Powell. We had a boat tour at Antelope Canyon Marina in Glen Canyon National Park.
great lunch at Ja’di’To’oh inside Marina.
You can enjoy various water activities like swimming, kayaking, etc there.
다음은 Lake Powell
Antelope Canyon Marina 에서 점심을 먹고 보트 투어를 했다.
이곳은 Glen Canyon National park 지역이라 차 한대당 25불의 입장료가 있었지만 우리는 국립공원 연간회원권이 있어서 그냥 패스.
선착장 앞에 있는 레스토랑 Ja’di’To’oh 가 좋았다. 피쉬앤칩과 피자도 맛있었고 분위기도 좋았다.
1시간의 보트 투어는 콜로라도 강과 그 양 옆의 절벽들을 가까이서 볼 수 있었다. Canyon을 내려만보다가 올려볼수 있었던 기회. 그곳에서 수영, 카약, 보트 대여 등으로 수상 스포츠를 즐기는 많은 사람들이 있었다.

Navajo tribes' dance show dinner, "Into the Grand" has best reviews at TripAdvisor.
속소인 Lake Powell Resort and Marina 에 쳌인을 하고 쉬었다가 저녁을 먹으러 나왔다.
tripadvisor 에서 가장 리뷰가 좋았던 Into the Grand 이었다. 저녁식사와 함께 인디안 나바호 부족의 춤을 감상하는 디너쇼.

Lake Powell Resort has a great view, too.
숙소인 Lake Powell Resort 도 아주 멋진 뷰를 가지고 있었다. 다음에는 좀 더 여유를 가지고 다시 오고 싶은 곳이다.
