Art Circle Cafe: Where Coffee and Art is A Perfect Blend
We Bring the Best in Philippine Art
This is the slogan of the Art Circle Cafe and Art Circle Gallery. From the slogan itself (and the name), you may already have an idea about this one.
Up until last weekend, I have no clue about this Art Circle Cafe. I only learned about this when my partner told us to have coffee in this cafe in UP Diliman. You see, Art Circle Cafe is not your typical cafe.
See what I mean?
This cafe was founded by Kitten Alcantara in February 2014. It sprang from the family's existing Art Circle Gallery business, in their branch located at the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City.

This cafe, along with the Art Circle Gallery, aims to showcase and promote Philippine Visual Arts. In this cafe, you will be able to find various (and beautiful) works of art.

The place looked so wonderful and I felt my eyes getting full. I'm no artist but I have a thing for art and it always calms me just looking at some paintings and art works (even though I can't understand them.lol). I felt the same thing while staring at the artworks inside.
As much as I love the artworks, here however is the highlight of our visit;
Barako coffee in a coffee press
Art Circle Cafe is famous for their coffee...prepared the traditional way. They don't just serve the usual coffee though; their selection ranges from the Sagada coffee, Kalinga coffee, Benguet coffee to Barako coffee. We ordered 1 Kalinga and 1 Barako and enjoyed our cups.
The thing I like about this cafe is that it is not only where you can appreciate art but it is also a place where you could have a taste of our traditional coffee without having the need to go there in the mountains for it...although, I would love to go back up there again anytime. For the meantime, a coffee in hand while appreciating a painting or two beside that special someone will do :)

Love this idea, cool way for an art gallery to branch out and expose their art to a broader audience. Sounds like a great place to enjoy some food and coffee with wonderful things to look at!

This is such a great idea! People coming in and instead of boring walls they can enjoy artwork made by real artists, brilliant!
That's what I thought too @tinymischiefs. Their concept was good and it really worked. Sipping coffee felt nice while staring at those beautiful pieces of art.
That is some place that I would like to visit someday.
