in #travel7 years ago (edited)

Hello, fellow Steemians! Another day, another post~

Bangkok is literally a paradise for all food lover and shopping fanatic! Food is delicious and cheap, clothings are wide arrays and not to mention extremely cheap too!

But if you already know my motto of this blog is to bring you the for food travelling, you might already know that how much I am into food regardless of cheap street eats to high-end dining.

In this article, I am bringing you to go for street hunting with me at Bangkok!!

Rot Fai Market Ratchada

Rot Fai Market is located a little outside of central Bangkok but its most well know due to the high supply of vintage items, innovative youngsters small snacks and also traditional eateries like Som Tam and grilling seafood.

First, we starting hunting food that is recommended one of my Taiwanese friend who went to Bangkok for studies. We ordered assorted of food including papaya salad, crispy pork skins, Thai ham, sesame anchovies, hard-boiled eggs and other pickled vegetables that served with different Thai rice noodles.

I would say this is definitely a good start to be sharing with friends where you get to try and test out the things you like and also to warm up your tummy for a bit. Especially the Som Tam! Man, that was packed a punch!!

Looks tempting isn't it?

It's actually rice cake that was cooked in an extremely hot skillet and topped with assorted seafood like shrimps and squids. Also drenched in a sweet Thai chilli sauce, it is so appetizing and we couldn't stop ordering for more.

Lobster!

Well, you're right! The night market even sell grilled mini lobster which I would never have guessed it. It really fresh and grilled on the spot upon order. However, I wish it could be less cheese that drenched the seafood that kind of too over-powering the natural sweetness of it.

Scotch Eggs

It is rather not surprising that you'll see hipster selling western treats in the market like scotch eggs. The runny egg yolks and soaked with sweet Thai sauces is surprisingly a good combination.

Grill Pork Neck

Well, we saw a bunch of people lining up to dine in at a street restaurant in the market and we were keen to find out what's going on. Unfortunately, everything was in thai, so we just ordered by pointing at what's people were eating on their table and it turns out that it's one of the best dishes we got in the market. The grill pork neck is very tender and juicy also the corn salad is rather refreshing to compliment the oily meal!

How about some sweet dessert? Banana Pancake

Banana pancake is a real deal in Thailand. You'll see push carts after push carts that people selling the same thing but yet a lot of them queuing to get one. Of course, then you'll know that it has to be good!

The pancake was a flour dough that wrapped in eggs and bananas and fried to crisp, then drenched in sweet condensed milk and chocolate to complete it. Definitely addicting! It's a must try~

Well then, how could you not end yourself with a beer or 2 for the day? Probably more? :D :D

The market is extremely cool where they have multiples open-air bars with live music to complete your day. Also a very nice place to hang out with your friends and to complete your travels~

Overall, I personally think that this is a very nice and new market that every traveller should give it a try instead of heading towards the famous market like Pratunam and also Chatuchak market. You'll definitely find something that you'll like and I promise that you'll definitely like the vibe over there as well.

Can't wait to visit.

Hi, jeanwandimi! To be honest, that's probably my favourite beer. I like it extremely bitter and the best part was, it's extremely cheap in compared to other brands! Please do try it and let me know how you like it.
